What People Are Saying About Prime Steakhouse at Bellagio

In Short – The timeless beauty and grandeur of this elegant steakhouse includes Baccarat chandeliers, velvet draperies and powder-blue marble floors. The breathtaking large windows are the focal point and offer patrons a front-row seat for the Bellagio's trademark dancing-fountain show. Steaks come with six types of mustard and five sauces--all adding complexity to any cut. The signature steak is the veal porterhouse with kumquat-pineapple chutney and caramelized cauliflower. Desserts include chocolate cake with a warm, gooey center.

Editor's Tips

Where to Sit:
Request a romantic spot by the open window and watch the Bellagio fountains dance while you dine.
Know Before You Go:
Reserve your table well in advance. On the outside terrace, however, you can enjoy appetizers, desserts and wine while overlooking Lake Bellagio without calling ahead.
What to Drink:
Treat yourself to a $1,050 shot of Chivas Royal Salute. It was bottled and launched in 1953 in honor of the newly-crowned Queen Elizabeth II.

Great Steakhouse

by rayray1212 at Citysearch

Went to Prime Steakhouse for a special evening in Vegas. While it is rather exensive, it is well worth the money. The decor is incredible with elegant tapestry, intriguing oil paintings, and a great view of the fountain show. The food is better than you get from a high end chain steakhouse like Flemings or Ruths Chris. The tomato salad was an unexpected treat. The steaks are very good and the sauces are the highlight of the entree. Three sauces are brought with most steaks, they are incredible. If you like fine dining, this is a great place to go.

Delightful Decadence

by CiaoandMeow at Citysearch

My husband and I dined at Prime Steakhouse for our 5th anniversary/his 45th birthday, this past February. We have never had a more enjoyable culinary experience. From the decadent decor, to the service, to the absolutely divine food, we rate this establishment more than a 5-star! The Chilean sea bass was melt-in-your-mouth, as was my husband's prime filet of beef. You cannot go wrong with any choice from their menu. We were seated front row center for the spectacular fountain show that performed for us every 15 minutes. The wait staff was attentive, but not overly so. Our main server suggested menu items that we didn't think of, and of course - he was correct with each one.

We recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to create a lasting memory for their travel book, and who wants to be treated to an incredible celebration for the palate.

Top notch romantic dinner!

My wife and I visited Prime on a romantic night out and were nothing less then thrilled. The service was amazing and the food brilliant! The fillet was savory and the parmesan chicken was tasty as well. The atmosphere could not be better and the view of the fountains is nearly breathtaking."

Excellent food and service

by ny516 at Citysearch

From the moment me and my friends walked in, the service was very attentive and impeccable. The decor is great and even better if you can get a table with a good view. Me and my one friend ordered the porterhouse steak, my other friend had the sea bass. We also ordered a bottle of wine and several side dishes. Everything was cooked and prepared wonderfully and we had a great dining experience.

  • Pros: Great food, drink, service, and decor

Food was good, SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE!!!

by Thecarguy2008 at Citysearch

My family and I dined at Prime at our hotel the Bellagio for my twin daughter's 21st birthday, we got our drinks form the bar and then sat at our table. Our waiter was upset that we got drinks from the bar and not with him, when he came over he did not even say welcome us, he said with a rude tone " I see you already have your drinks...can i get you any bottle or sparkling water? We said just ice water for now please, then then responded with his nose in the air "You mean tap!?" As if he was better then us. I'm sorry but I am not about to pay $15 for a bottle of Fiji water. The whole night he was VERY rude and did not even check back on us when the food was dropped off. The bus boy took care of us better then the server. During the meal we all wonder where our waiter was and that we had not seen him in 30 minutes (No Joke) We asked every server that went by to get him but he never came by. We flagged down the manager and he did not seem to care that we were all upset and that our night was basically ruin because of this obnoxious waiter. If your family comes in and spends a lot of money i would expect great service but this was not the case. Go to TAO at the Venetian!! Amazing food, great service and a friendly staff!!

  • Pros: Great seafood and chops
  • Cons: Rude staff and bad service
