Excellent Food, Friendly Service. We live in Los Angeles, but only ate at the original Spago once. We love to eat at Spago Las Vegas because not only is the food extraordinarily tasty, but the staff treats you like you matter. They are kind and always have a table for us. We've never made reservations, we just pop in and may have a 5-10 minute wait but it's well worth it. The pasta is al dente, the sauces are super flavorful and they will make your child spaghetti with marinara sauce for only $6.95! The service is consistently good and the ambience is nice. They have yummy bread as a starter and the mushroom soup is very good. The kid's spaghetti is full of delicious tomatoes and the menu changes often. I highly recommend any of Wolfgang's Las Vegas restauants.
Good food.
I had lunch there last week. Although it was pricey, the food was good and the service prompt. There were several people waiting on us so the service was good. We went on a Thursday so the restaurant was not busy.
Overall, I would recommend the restaurant.
Okay food, good atmosphere. If you like friend calamari, get it here; they fry the heck out of it so you don't even taste the calamari. I was disappointed by that. The butter lettuce salad is good, not great. The pastas are decent. Overall, food is just okay. I think it used to be better. Service is fine. This place wins in location, in the Forum Shops, and in atmosphere because you can sit outside and watch shoppers and feel like you're on a street-side bistro. I think it's a good bet for lunch, but a little overrated for dinner.
User review by carol222. Went to Spago's for lunch with my husband. We had calamari appetizer and mix marshrooms fettucini. The calamari and fettucini were served at the same time. We were expecting to have calamari first after 15 mins wait, it was not a good serivce our appetizer and feetucini were delivered together. The calamari was good, but the butter is falling apart. The mix marshroom fetucini was good, too.
User review by nazee14. We went there with a group of 10 people. The service was great, our waiter was very helpful and friendly without being annoying. The food was average, nothing to die for. The decor is nothing out of the ordinary. I recommend it, but, I think there are more interesting places to check out in Vegas, for the same amount of money.
Three-Hour Lunch!. I dined here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon that took three hours!!! Did not even get an apology from the waiter for the delay. The flatbread and calamari appetizer were really good, but the salmon entree was just average. My boyfriend had the spaghetti pasta, which was just okay. I normally order dessert, but I was tired of waiting for terrible service. It wasn't worth the value and overrated.
Great Place for Lunch. My husband and I visited for lunch during a busy weekend. We were seated promptly without any reservations, and chose the Bistro area (there is a more formal dining area towards the back of the restautant). Service was friendly and helpful. The food was good, as well. The calamari appetizer was one of the best I've ever had; the rings were perfectly cooked; hot and not rubbery or too chewy in texture. The batter had a little bit of kick to it, without a greasy or oily residue.
A little piece of L.A. pushes its way east with its signature wood-fired pizzas and inventive pastas..
In Short
Pizzas gave Spago its original cache, and they're still the most popular items on the menu. The wood-fired oven gives the medium-thin dough nice crustiness, lending textural contrast to the myriad toppings available. Other menu items: Caesar salad, thin corn blinis with dill cream and golden caviar. Portions are small; larger dishes include pizzas, pastas and salads.
Great Anytime. I've eaten at this restaurant on several occasions over the past few years. It consistently has been excellent. Wolfgang knows how to make great cuisine. I have not had the pizza, which is odd I know because that's what the restaurant is known for, but have had many salads, soups, and fish dishes. I would recommend all of them.
Post Show Dinner. Went to Spago after seeing Celine! Shared Pizza and Salad. The pizza was excellent and now have tasted the real deal that everyone else is trying to copy! The salad was very fresh especially the tomatoes. Service was friendly and very efficient. We ate in the cafe open to the shops at the Forum and it was a very pleasant experience.
