Stolen Laptop - Hotel Management's Fault!. I stayed at Harrah’s hotel Las Vegas for 3 nights. The first two nights were fine. The third night (March 14,2012), was horrible. My Macbook got stolen and for sure it was the housekeeper’s fault. On the 3rd day, Wednesday, we left the hotel about 1:30 pm to go eat and start our day. We left the room messy. When we got back to the hotel, at 10 pm, we thought to ourselves that the housekeeper didn’t come in as the pillows were on the floor. But when we looked to the bathroom, there were fresh towels and everything. The beds were obviously made, as there were new comforters (we had a child with us and he spilled chocolate milk all over the comforter). We then thought that maybe the housekeeper didn’t finish doing the beds and then left. We didn’t think too much about the pillows and went ahead and did other stuff. When I was ready to get ready for bed, around 12am, I was getting my clothes from my luggage, and my laptop was gone! My laptop was safely hidden inside my luggage. My laptop was inside a laptop sleeve and that laptop sleeve was inside a blue bag and that blue bag was inside another laptop bag and that laptop bag was inside my luggage. The luggage was even at the very far back with other luggage in front. I cannot believe that someone would actually take something from inside the luggage. It’s not like I had my laptop laying around visibly. We immediately called the front desk to tell them and they sent a security officer to our room. We told him what went down and all he can say was they will investigate and we should call a 1800 number for the results on Tuesday, March 20,2012. It takes them about a week to investigate and they didn’t even do any immediate actions. The security officer even complained that our room was all the way in the 11th floor and that his office was at the basement and it’s inconvenient for him to go up and down. There’s an elevator for god’s sakes. The hotel has no CCTVs. What if something worse were to happen… then they wouldn’t know because there are no security cameras. For sure that it was the housekeeper’s fault because before leaving we already noticed the doors not being locked well. When you close the door, it would seem that it is already locked but it really isn’t locked unless you pull it harder. Another evidence that it was the housekeeper’s fault is because the beds were somewhat made. And so, they were the last one to enter the room. I seriously despise this hotel and their staff. They weren’t even accommodating to our needs. I already filed a police report stating the incident. Now we still need to wait until Tuesday to hear from the hotel.
Close to everything. I like Harrah's. The rooms are pretty nice and I love the centralized location. The table's pay pretty good too. It'a actually an easy hotel to navigate, considering the plan is to keep you in. They have a shuttle to Rio so check that out too.
Good but not excelent..
Harra's is a nice place but I think the room prices are a little high for what you get.
The rooms are clean, quiet and well decorated but not large enough, large bathroom.
The slot machines are not loose but you still have a good time playing and getting free drinks, but I do recomend playin somewhere else.
The pool is too simple and it's only 3 feet deep and it has no palms to make the place nicer.
Excellent value!. I had a wonderful stay here, clean rooms with average size. The casino was lively, and had a wonderful atmosphere. The best part though, you could stay here cheap, and spend all your time at Caesars, The Mirage, or the Venitian, all which are basically a 2 minute walk or less. While the restuarant options are average (range is vastly overrated), you can enjoy the best at the other hotels without batting an eye. If you get a roomer on the 6th floor or higher facing the strip, wonderful view. Lower floors have no view.
The View Nightclub. Best nightclub experience we have ever had--period! Great staff, the bartenders are amazing, tip well and you will get a great drink.
the place you need to sleep. This hotel gives you all you need, unless your a gigant that needs HUGE rooms, rooms are moderate size, room service is great and the bar that they have outside is the greatest thing of all!
The Rooms Are So Small.... I was placed in the smallest room EVER. To top it off, Harrahs had the *#!!*! to call it a DELUX ROOM. After not being able to fit between the TV and the bed - much less place my wife's suitacase out of needed walking space, I attempted to contact Customer Service. IT DOES NOT EXIST HERE!!! SAVE your money! DO NOT STAY HERE!
Quality on the strip. There are flashier or "theme-ier" hotels on the strip, but Harrah's is reliably consistent quality. Packed with all the standard amenities, there's nothing that would disappoint, neither in the hotel, casino, or fine restaurants. The steak house was comparable with NYs finest, and featured a terrific view.
