New York-New York Hotel and Casino's innovative facades re-create the classic Manhattan skyline, complete with 12 New York-style skyscrapers that house 2,024 guest rooms. These interconnected structures are approximately one-third the actual size of New York City architecture. The tallest building replicates the Empire State Building at 529 feet, 47 stories. Other icons include a 150-foot replica of the Statue of Liberty; a Coney Island-style roller coaster, a 300-foot long replica of the Brooklyn Bridge; and a replica of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument. In Short – An imaginative re-creation of New York City, complete with brownstones and ethnic neighborhoods. Among famous Big Apple icons is an airy 84,000-square-foot Central Park-themed casino. Outdoors, you'll find the Manhattan skyline, a replica of the Statue of Liberty and a Coney Island-style roller coaster. At the base of the Statue of Liberty replica, a memorial displaying thousands of personal articles is a permanent tribute to the heroes lost in the tragic events of 9/11.

I reserved a room online and when we checked in and went to our room, we found cigarette butts in the ashtray and the bed messed up like someone had been sitting on it. I had ordered a non smoking room as I am allergic to smoke. I also ordered a king size bed and got 2 queen size. We go back to check in and tell them about it and the guy working was not going to give us a new room!!!! He was very rude and said we would not get a king size bed. We asked to speak to a manager. The guy came back and said we could change rooms. We got what I reserved online. On check out, we told the guy working and he made a note of it. Don't know if that would do any good or not. Beds were comfortable in the room and I have a hard time with beds. The casino was ok. It was good walking distance to anything else we wanted to see.
- Pros: good food
- Cons: rude when we checked in
Cool place to stay once...

My girlfriend wanted to stay at NYNY, so I booked. The price was pretty decent for the strip (100/nt). The rooms were ok, neat, clean but my GF kept complaining about the beds being uncomfortable.
There are a lot of cheap food choices here, but my fav was 9 Fine Irishmen. Irish pub with decent food, good beers, and excellent service. The waitresses' uniforms did not hurt either. Ben & Jerry's was convenient and great as always. Il Fornaio and America were decent, but better food could be had by walking to MGM or Monte Carlo. The only breakfast buffet was at Chin Chin, with an Asian twist.
NYNY was all over location. It's centered in the south strip, across the street from MGM and next door to Monte Carlo. Excalibur is across the street, but I only used it to pass through to Luxor and Mandalay Bay.
Next time I will definitely skip the spa services at NYNY. Their spa is small and overpriced for the amenities. Also, the guy on the men's side was kind of rude.
- Pros: Service, 9 Fine Irishmen Pub, location, Zumanity
- Cons: Average in every other way, our room views were awful
Crowded - just like NY NY!
by newstome at Citysearch
This property is very crowded, just like NYC. Also, if you are traveling with a group, be aware that the various towers are not easily accessible to each other. If you are visiting room to room, you will spend a lot of time on various elevators, etc. The pool is small and crowded. On the weekend, you'll be lucky to get a lounge chair and even luckier if you aren't bumping elbows with the person next to you. Wait staff service at the pool is lousy -- be prepared to get up and get it yourself. The piano bar is fun. If you want to be close to MGM and Mandalay Bay, this property is a good choice. If you want to spend time up the Strip at Bellagio, Caesar's, Wynn, Fashion Show, etc., wear walking shoes or plan to take taxis - it's a haul. The rooms are small and nothing spectacular. If you're staying here for price, try Mirage or Paris instead. Better location, better property, similar price.
- Pros: Cheap property on the Strip
- Cons: Crowded, not a good value
