The king of restaurants. I have dined at many fine restaurants, steakhouses being my favorite (comfort food.) I can always count on Morton's to leave me feeling pampered and stuffed in the best way possible. Whether I am in Honolulu or Chicago I can get a reservation at the worlds best four diamond chain and count on a special night of standard setting food and service. The Las Vegas location is no exception, in fact the food and service was beyond the Morton's norm. For an introduction to fine dining or a favorite place for special occasions Morton's will always impress.

The standard by which you will judge all other restaurants.. The service was impeccable, and the food was truley outstanding. I had the bone-in filet, it was so tough I almost had to put pressure on my fork to cut it. Try the carrot cake; the finest was to get your veggies. Once you have the crab cake here no other crab cake will compare. All in all fantastic.

USDA prime beef, elegant tableside service and mammoth martinis.. In Short
With its dark wood details, celebrity photos and tuxedo-clad waiters, this upscale steakhouse chain has the air of a posh men's club. Service is professional and discreet, with bartenders making a mean martini. Dinners begin with a waiter-driven cart laden with fresh vegetables, live lobster and cuts of steak; customers choose from porterhouse, rib-eye, bone-in prime rib and more. Side dishes are traditional and enormous, from baked potatoes and creamed spinach to steamed broccoli with hollandaise.

Awful Filet Mignon, under cooked potatoes, and poor quality hors d'oeuvres. I went with a business group of about 45 people to the Morton's at 400 East Flamingo Road in Las Vegas on Friday March 2, 2007. The menu that was arranged in advance for the group had three choices, a 14 oz. filet mignon, a chicken dish, and a salmon dish. They all came with steamed redskin potatoes, a steamed vegetable medley, Caesar salad, and a choice of two desserts. The waiters were attentive and mixed drinks, wine, and beer were delivered very quickly. The Caesar salad was quite good with fresh lettuce and good dressing and cheese. However the filet mignon was of very poor quality. It was cooked as everyone ordered, but everybody's was full of gristle, tough, and lacking a good beef flavor. The potatoes that everyone received were only about 1/2 done. When I mentioned this to the one of the waiters, he acknowledged what I said, but made absolutely no effort to do anything about it. The vegetables in the vegetable medley were very good. We had a very large assortment of hors d?oeuvres served family style before the meal. The hors d'oeuvres were awful. One of the hors d'oeuvres was made of crab meat. It had a very strong taste, unlike any serving of a crab dish that I have ever had, and I am from the east coast and I know what it should taste like. Another hors d?oeuvre was supposed to be roast beef, it was very tough and did not have a very good beef flavor either. The cheesecake that I had for dessert was outstanding.

Overall, the experience was awful. I will never come back to Morton's Steak House in Las Vegas.
