Learn about the history of the state, both natural and man-made, at this small but engaging musuem. – In Short
Located near downtown in Lorenzi Park, it features permanent exhibits on the natural and anthropological history of the region. A tour begins with intriguing find: a 190 million-year-old ichthyosaur fossil (think, giant lizard). Another large exhibit examines the people who have lived in the desert, including the Paiute Indians, the pioneers and modern day locals.
lorenzi park – the museum was good, but the park area distracted from the experience. the water near the museum was terriblely polluted and stunk - garbage was in it. the walk trail around the little lake needs to be upgraded or something. disappointed in area, don't recommend to others
