In Short – Located near downtown in Lorenzi Park, it features permanent exhibits on the natural and anthropological history of the region. A tour begins with intriguing find: a 190 million-year-old ichthyosaur fossil (think, giant lizard). Another large exhibit examines the people who have lived in the desert, including the Paiute Indians, the pioneers and modern day locals.

the museum was good, but the park area distracted from the experience. the water near the museum was terriblely polluted and stunk - garbage was in it. the walk trail around the little lake needs to be upgraded or something. disappointed in area, don't recommend to others
