This place has really went bad. I've been going to this place for five years. It was great until about 18 months ago. We ordered the Mobster Burger (Pastrami with Burger) plus fries. We waited 40 minutes for the food and when it came it was cold, dry and barely edible. We had to douse it with ketchup and mustard to get it down. The fries looked like they were old. We think they are using food that has been leftover because it did not taste fresh. Wow! $20 lunch for two and it was terrible. We sent an email complaining, but got no response. They must know they are guilty.

Chicago Style Hotdogs. Over rated.Bring from Chicago and going to the best, Hot Daug, Gene and Jude's, Jimmy's Hot Dog Stand, Hot Dawg, Chubby's, White Sox Park, Maxwell's, I can only give it an average. Too expensive for what you get. Found a place northwest Deli Den that has a hot dog - much better nr Durango and I-215. No one has a great Italian Beef or combo with Italian sausage.

Best in Town, easily, hands down.. I am one of the sons of the original owner (Art Garceau) and this place is almost just as good as when I worked there.

I have no clue what a couple people are saying, the place looks almost exactly the same, the food is just as tasty as 18, 15, 10, 5 years ago.

Only problem I have is the prices, which have always been kind of high, but I still would buy this place just to have all that delicious food all to myself.

Terrible food....Outrageous prices. I came to citysearch looking for a good hot dog stand in Vegas. The ratings were all good the link to the menu was active so I decided what I wanted and went to get something to eat. The guy at the window told me that the menu online is over 5 years old and that there has been a change of owners numerous times since. The prices are almost double what the online menu states and the quality of the food is just plain nasty. I spent almost $30 for two people to eat and ended up throwing most of it in the trash as it was not edible. Find a different place to go and save yourself the misery of Chicago Hot Dog Las Vegas

THE BEST HOT DOGS!!!. I have been going here for years - started many moons ago when I worked in one of the Quail Parks up Rancho and this place was close by. OMG!!! THE BEST!!! We made it a point to go here at least 2 times a week!! These hot dogs are addictive!! The service is great and the employees are soooo nice!!! The food is so good you don't really pay attention to the surrounding neighborhood. Because of them, I have made it a point to try hole-in-the-wall restaurants in other cities I have lived in and/or visited!! They are often times the best and this is definitely no exclusion to that rule!!!!

Years of great dogs. I have been going to Chicago Hot Dog for years and have always had a great experience. The place has not changed much over the years and that gives it a lot of its character. The place used to be an old A & W with the drive up stalls, like Sonic. Those are gone now, but the covering is still there. Inside, there is a lot of memorabilia from the Second City and old warn tables. Like I said this adds to the character and should be enjoyed.

As far as the neighborhood, there is nothing wrong with it. Sure it is one of the oldest areas in Las Vegas, but anyone who has lived here longer then 30 years remembers when this neighborhood was exactly the same 30 years ago. The only bad thing can say about the area is that if you exit the parking area near Chicago Hot Dogs, you have to turn right, then drive a ways north on Rancho before you can make a U turn.

If you are traveling from out of town, you should give this place a try for lunch, you won't be disappointed.

BEST HOT DOGS IN LAS VEGAS. We are from Chicago and this is just like being home, we just loved it!!! But you need to change the location, come on down to Henderson!!!! We would be there everyday!!!

Or just get to the Eastside, we will support you on the Eastside of town.

For all you Mid westerners this is the place for the good old hot dog!!!

Thank you.

Excellent Chicago Hot Dod. I'm not from Chicago but I thought the hot dog was excellent. The hot dog, bun and "fixins" were very good and I will return to sample other parts of the menu. Can't say much for the neighborhood but this place is worth a try.

best Chicago Dog. I first had a Chicago Dog at Dairy Queen... I thought it was the yummiest hot dog and wondered why there weren't more like it on more Menu's. I soon realized after eating one at Chicago Hot Dog what it was really all about! Of course it tasted different then the other and I have been eating it at Chicago Hot Dog for 15 years now. I dont recommend the Pastrami sandwich it is really greasy and fatty. They know there stuff when it comes to the hot dogs though and they have it flown in fresh.
