We got married this past Saturday and we had a great time , at the shalimar wedding chapel they really made our dream come true .

The chapel and the flowers were beautiful , the minister was nice and the limo driver Vernon was very professional and helpful .

Special Thanks to Nancy our photographer for making our day more special and for her great talent in photography .

Worst Wedding Chapel in Vegas by Far - Terrible Minister & P

My fiancé and I chose to get married at the Shalimar Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas on 12/17, and what a complete nightmare it turned out to be... First off, the Shalimar is located inside of the Howard Johnson's Hotel - Ho Jo's, and they never listed that on their website... They know that if they state that they are located inside of the Ho Jo's that nobody would ever select their location... There were actually prostitutes walking right around the hotel, and a strip club right across the street. There were tons of homeless people too. Enough on the location...

The staff was FAR WORSE!! Let me elaborate... The "professional photographer” could not take a good picture, if their life truly depended on it... What a nightmare, I truly feel that an 8 year old could take better pictures than their supposed "professional photographer". Not even one good picture! The Director of the Shalimar also seemed confused and not sharp...

The WORST part of our wedding day debacle was their supposed "minister" Reverend Cotton. I am not a racist at all, but will tell you that this black minister (in case he lied about his name), cannot consider himself a minster at all. He must have taken a 1 hour online certificate course or something, as he is certainly not a man of faith or religion. We called ahead of time and confirmed we could use our custom vows. We had custom vows written, and Reverend Cotton rushed us through the ceremony without even asking us if we had any custom vows. I swear to god Reverend Cotton's whole ceremony was less than 30 seconds long... This supposed "minister" then had the audacity to hand us an envelope and asked us for a $75 donation, while he stood next to me and counted the money that I placed in the envelope. He actually had the nerve to stand right next to me and count the money as I placed it in the envelope, and made me feel that if I did not provide his $75 shake down fee, that he may actually not record our license with the state of Nevada. My wife and I both felt that any donation was a complete rip-off, as he was undeserving of any tip, even $0.01. This supposed minister NEVER once even made eye contact with me or my wife during the entire ceremony; he ONLY made eye contact with the money going into the envelope! This was a very PUSHY and GREEDY tactic to use.

This place should be avoided like the plague, HIV, and venomous snakes... I have NEVER been treated so badly by the staff of any organization ANYWHERE ON EARTH, EVER!!! I had to do a review on the Shalimar Wedding Chapel, to let EVERYONE on Trip Advisor and other trusted review sites (as I am going to post this review to EVERY online review site I can find...) So that good honest, kind, couples in love, can avoid this place, and their TERRIBLE service.

The minister should have his license revoked, and I am going to call and inquire with the state licensing board in Nevada, as to how Reverend Cotton even got licensed in the first place, and to verify that Reverend Cotton is even a minister (which I highly doubt)! My wife and I are outraged at the minister and the photographer. Thanks Shalimar and your terrible staff for ruining our wedding day... Please go elsewhere in Las Vegas, and enjoy your wedding without the nightmare we experienced... You have several options that should NOT include the Shalimar Wedding Chapel.

Shalimar was amazing

Beautiful Chapel , Great Packages and Friendly staff .

Me and my fiance always dreamt a bout having a Vegas Wedding and Shalimar wedding chapel made it happen for us .

We booked our wedding over the phone with Jenny and from that point on we knew that we made the right choice , she was sweet and friendly and answer all of our questions patiently .

The best part is when we got pick up in a brand new Limo and got to the chapel (Driver was very helpful and professionally dressed ), they treat us like royalties , they are very professional and don't mess around , as soon as we got the chapel they start taking our photos which by the way turned out amazing , before i forget i have to say we met Jenny and she did our photos too, besides the limo driver and the minister she was the only one running the show and she did a great job being there by herself( two thumbs up Jenny).

pastor Zanger was the greatest , he was funny and made it very easy for us , his ceremony was very personal and touching .

We will defiantly recommend shalimar to all of friends and family and already planning on going back for our 5th year anniversary .

Thank you shalimar for making our dream come to reality .

Great Experisnce

We had search a lot online and finally chose Shalimar chapel , we just wanted to share our great experience with everyone .

we defiantly recommend this chapel to everyone who wants to have a worry free wedding in Las Vegas , they plan everything for us and we did not have to do a thing , everything turned out better than what we have expected .
