Editorial Review for Stratosphere Tower & Thrill Rides – by Citysearch Staff

In Short
The 1,149-foot-tall tower, which houses the tallest free-standing observation deck in the country, rises higher than any other structure in the valley, making it the compass-needle pivot point for the city. Visitors enjoy multiple vantage points: the enclosed observation deck for the faint of heart, the windy outdoor deck-one level for vertigo-inducing views, and the Top of the World Restaurant and lounge for romance.

Going to the observation deck on the top of the Stratosphere is good to do just once to say that you did it. After you see the view of Clark County and the surroundings, it's pretty much a quick dash to your car in the parking lot to go do some cooler stuff in Vegas.

Pros: It's a unique view of Vegas

Cons: You have to go to the Stratosphere to see it

The one that shoots you up and the one that takes you out over the side of the tower and spins you around were very fun, exciting, extremely thrilling! I'm like not even impressed by most coasters anymore cuz I'm like immune to extreme thrills. But these two were awesome. I did NOT like the one that was like a coaster it just goes almost vertical and then lets you drop like you are going to slide right off the track and down the side of the building. It was not fun just nerve racking, cheap thrills.

Pros: Nice view.

Cons: I suppose if you have vertigo issues, well then...
