Native Las Vegans Love Macayo. I have been eating at Macayos since High School and Im 53 years old now, does that tell you anything? I noticed most of the bad comments were people from Southern CA. Yes, your Mexican food is alot different there, I know I go there a lot myself, but i have had some pretty bad mexican food there. Those of us that have lived in Vegas for many years, go to Macayo on a regular basis. It's what we like. So go back to Orange county and eat your Mexcian food there!

Mexican food gone bad. I had carne asada the other night and is is not served like we are used to. The portion was small very small, I then ordered deep fried jalepenos and they charged 85 cents to deep fry then 1.50 for 2 peppers and 1.50 for more salsa which was really tasteless anyway. I would eat taco time over this.

Best Fish Tacos Ever!. They have undoubtedly the best fish tacos I have ever had. The fish is lush and white and flaky and great quality. The special sauce is delicious and the cabbage they put on top is devine. Very colorful and delicious, had to have them two days in a row, they were so good.

No so good.... I was born and rasied in southen California, being so close to Mexico I know what real Mexican food is, and this is certainly not it! The salsa tates like a mix between ketchup and marinara sauce..sounds good, but not actually salsa! I also had the seafood enchiladas, how they managed to mess that up I will never know. The food is so bland and tasteless it's indescribable! Although I will say it would be a good place to take young kids with less than adventerous taste-buds. But, I will never return! Yuck!

Not mexican at all.. I will start with the good things,it's a very clean and elegante place hats off to decorators, five star staff, well trained and pro's.now hear comes the down fall of it all"the FOOD"! I pride myself at being a mexican and that food was not!!! I come from a long line of mexican cooks so I know what I'm talking about. If any person was to go to mexico and try the food there they would agree, that what they serve at Macayo's is not mexican food. when a mexican goes to a resturant that cliams to serve athentic mexican dishes we expect no subtitute for it.

Excellent!. i'm from Orange County, CA and we make Vegas trips just for Macayo's... The food is great, but the margaritas are to die for!!! My roommate's parents live in Vegas and we make them bring us chips and salsa everytime they come to visit because they are soooo yummy! You've got to try this Mexican!!!

Macayo's is HORRIBLE. On a recent visit to Macayo's after an absence of about three years, we found the food to be horrid. My meatball soup was nothing but water and a couple of very touch meatballs (I hope it was meat & not carboard). All four of us ordered lunch specials but only took two to three bites before we asked for the check. The tasteless salsa was thin and lacking any spice. The chips were stale and the tea cup & water glasses were stained or dirty

Best Margarita In Las Vegas!. I go for the Margarita's and stay for the food! Service is a little slow at times, but after 15 years this Mexican resturant is still my favorite. I've had the "voted best Margarita" in FOUR other states, but the Ultimate Margarita (frozen w/extra salt) at Macayo's (charleston and decatur) is, in my opinion, the best!
