The decor is evocative of a voodoo den, with black walls covered with cryptic fluorescent symbols illuminated by black lights. Custom sconces and chandeliers add to the wackiness. A curving metal staircase connects the cafe to the lounge and turns the place into a rooftop party. Diners come for the Strip views, as well as the Creole- and Cajun-influenced seafood dishes, like catfish and lobster, and the seafood and pork soup.

Def a club to visit in Las Vegas. There is a beautiful view on top of the Rio. There is a dance floor outside so you can see all of Las Vegas. They also have a fish bowl which i would suggest only having one.

One of my favorite Las Vegas places. The Voo Doo Cafe is atop the Rio. There is a night club floor and a dining floor. Both have spectacular views and there is an exterior patio area. Gets a young crowd on weekends. Seafood and steaks, the last time I went I had bisque, caesar salad and a chocolate souffle. Yes, I've had steak and various seafood, but thought that was the best combination. They do baked alaska, but it isn't as good as the souffle!! Eat on weeknights, avoid the crowds. Lots of fancy drinks and if they tell you to beware of the one that has smoke, believe them.

Overpriced for what you get, food and service. Ordered soups, appetizers and a main course and our clueless waiter, Dave, brought out a dessert fondu for our appetizer. He said that is what we ordered for our appetizer. What??? First, who orders a dessert fondu before their steak dinner, second, we never saw a desset menu, so how would we know what was on it? The waiter forgot drinks, couldn't split checks properly, the crab cakes were bland and the filets were over cooked. The view was the only good thing about the place.
