A colleague and I were in the mood for
some authentic Mexican food and asked the Hotel Concierge for their recommendation. They told us about Bonito Michoacan; we took a taxi and arrived at the restaurant that looked like an authentic Mexican Restaurant. Our waiter's name badge said "Boom Schakalaka" and he was one of the nicest, friendliest, and hard working waiters I have ever seen. From our booth we were able to see a viewing room where we could watch a lady in the back hand make corn tortillas as well as flour tortillas. (The flour was the best in my opinion). The music consisted of a little man singing and playing a piano, though not great, it was still entertainment. As far as the food. The chips were good and the salsa was very good and unlike typical Mexican restaurants; they did bring out bean dip as well that was on par with any typical Mexican Bean dip. We ordered Fajitas and when they came, we were thrilled with the spread. The food was wonderful and the beers were cold!
When we were ready to leave, we asked the cashier to call us a cab, and she told us it would be about 20 minutes. 30 min later, no taxi. She called again, still no taxi. Our waiter saw us sitting in the lobby, and asked if we were waiting on a taxi. We told him yes, and he ran off to the back. He came back to the front and said that we would be taken care of. 5 minutes later the Manager loaded us up in his car and took us to our hotel. That is true Service and the reason I will go back again and suggest it to many others.
Thank you Bonito Michoacan!
Great food, service, atmosphere.
Really good all around.
I usually fill up on chips and dip, then get most of the meal to go.
Great food, Great service. Sometimes live music, which was always pretty good(an I'm a gringo!).
Mediocre breakfast. As one of the first to arrive on a Saturday morning, we were promptly seated and provided menus. The complimentary chips were commercial grade and both salsas probably originated in a factory. We ordered the breakfast of champions, huevos rancheros, but both dishes were slightly overcooked and unremarkable as were the accompanying frijoles refritos, salad and rice. My disappointment was only nominally tempered by the use of another 2/1 coupon found on the RJ?s website
Best Mexican Restaurant in Vegas. This place has a great atmosphere, great service, and best of all great food!! I'm a lover of food and especially Mexican food, so i'll eat pretty much any of it, but when there's a place that seems to stand out compared to the rest, I have to spread the news. This place is amazing!
