In Short – With small bookstores struggling in the shadow of the chains, it's heartening to see one bookstore not just survive, but thrive. Despite its out-of-the-way location, in the past year, the venerable shop has grown so much that it required a move to spacious new digs. (Locals: Don't fret; the store's in the same strip mall, just a few doors down.) While Dead Poet offers the reliable standards, hardcore bibliophiles come to browse for rare and hard-to-find books.

GREAT PLACE 2 FIND USED BOOKS

I Very Much Enjoy coming into this Store. The staff is always Helpful & Courtious. They have a Great Variety of books, magazines, DVD's, a bit of Manga & even Vinyl to choose from. Prices Are More than Reasonable!

I'm taking the time to write this quick review about Dead Poet Books because the people that work there do offer great customer service.
Knowing nothing about books, I decided to stop in there to find some information about a rare book I had recently stumbled upon. I was lucky enough to have Linda working at the time of my visit. Basically, I walked in with a book in hand and she was kind enough to spend a few minutes of her time researching information about my book. After spending a few minutes on the computer she came back to me and briefly explained what she had found about the book I had. Not only was she very knowledgeable about what she was explaining to me , she explained it in a way that any customer would appreciate. Thanks for the awesome help Linda. I really appreciate the time you spent. You guys have even gained a customer....I saw a few books that will make excellent future gifts. Austin

Great atmosphere and nice selection

I have been going to Dead Poet Books since they were used to be located at Sahara and Valley View, and with the move to Rainbow, the selection has gotten even better. The staff was always friendly and helpful every time I visited, and the selection of books was always wide and varied. With the closure of Albion Books, this is one of the best remaining locations in town to find that book you wanted, along with LPs and other esoteric items.

- Cons: Some items not available (such as Heinlein)

As you might expect from the store's name, Dead Poet is strong in art, fiction, literature, poetry and history. The selection isn't massive, but the quality and service are top-notch.
