I was reading the reviews for used bookstores in Las Vegas and a few of them I have been into. Love Dead Poet but the Book Magician has remained my favorite. Friendly staff, very helpful in finding what you want and if they don't have it they will call around town or order it for you. They don't give cash refunds unless you do it right away but will give a trade slip in exchange. I have referred other friends and family members to this store and they have all had a great experience. The only reason I do not give a 5 is because I am allergic to cats. Their cat is wonderful though and he is always being petted. Go There and enjoy!!!!

Don't pay cash - no refunds from rude owner

Don't pay cash and expect a refund the day after Christmas when your husband don't like his new book, still wrapped in plastic. The owner raised her voice, embaressed and humiliated me the day after Christmas when I attempted to return a brand new book still wrapped in plastic. She has the book and my cash, I left the store in tears. She wanted to know why I couldn't afford to buy another book and was I on my last dime! Who asks a customer that question in this economy? If I had paid with a credit card I could have stopped the payment, but I paid cash becasue it is a small business a couple of days before Christmas. Now I can't afford to purchase the book my husband does want because she has my cash. The owner is rude and unprofessional.
