Cheesesteaks BETTER Than any I ever had in Philly. This is hands down the best sam dandwich shop Ive ever been too. It was highly recommended to me by a co-worker who lived in town for many years, he said "YOUVE GOT TO TRY THE PHILLY CHEESESTEAK". I went there and got a medium chesesteak with the optional Mushrooms, Onions, Hot and Sweet Peppers. When I opened up the paper and had my first bite I went into sort of a state of Nirvana, a completely involuntary yummy noise vibrated through a mouth full of food. I had found the perfect cheesesteak at last. I go to the store on Cheyenne and Buffalo and the sandwiches are ALWAYS COMPLETELY CONSISTENT! Every once in a great while Ill order a Bobbie, but if you want a GREAT Working Man's Sandwich, the Cheesesteak is for you. I recommend you order it the same way I do (mushrooms, onions, hot and sweet peppers) you'll be nice and full and happy!
Best place to get a sandwich!!!.
It was a complete fluke that my boyfriend and I found this place. He was in the mood for a sandwich and he dialed it into the GPS unit and we got this name "Capriottis." We were expecting typical italian deli style sandwiches and got a lot more. I got "The Bobbie" and as did half the people in the place. My boyfriend ordered the "Capastrami." The service was brusque, but not rude. They have a set system of ordering. Hint: Order at the counter, not the cash stand. We took the sandwiches to go and before we even left the parking lot we were pulling out the sandwiches to see the results. The sandwiches were so good we were actually excited. We had been comtemplating just going to Subway before this place!
The pastrami was freshly cooked and not chewy at all. You could tell it had NOT been sitting in a heating vat all day. The slaw with the russian dressing, yummm.
"The Bobbie" tasted just like it promised, a Thanksgiving dinner in a sandwich. The stuffing was very flavorful and moist, without being soggy. The turkey was shredded and also moist (apparently they roast it in house).
I can't wait to go back to Vegas to have it again. We were really happy to discover this sandwich shop!
Try the Bobbie. There isn't much more to be said about Capriotti's that hasn't been said already on this site. They simply have good sandwiches. My personal favorite is the Bobbie - sliced turkey with stuffing, cranberry and mayo. It's a regular stop for me whenever I come to Vegas.
best sandwiches in town. I love capriotti's, they have the best sandwiches in town. The combinations of ingredients on their sandwiches just make them the best. Great for lunch or and early dinner. I will continue to eat there.
huge sandwiches. If you love Thanksgiving, try the Bobby.. stuffing, cranberrys and more turkey than you can imagine. Not the pressed, sliced turkey you find at most chains. This is torn right from the bird. For less than $20 we got 4 meals out of 2 sandwiches.
Amazing Vegetarian Options!!!. It's so nice to be able to get a soy version of a Turkey sandwich, Phili Cheese Steak, Hot Dog or Hamburger! I think they even had a soy salami...but my head was spinning from all the veggie choices! I tried the soy turkey and it was really good. It's a relief to go out to a sandwich shop and not have try to order a cheeseburger, hold the meat or try to get excited about a plain cheese sandwich. The employees were personable, polite and fast. They didn't blink when I asked to substitute the soy turkey on one of their specialty sandwiches and I didn't have to take it back 'cause it was perfect the first time I got it! That almost never happens at other places when I try to have something made vegetarian. So glad I didn't listen to the reviewer who was complaining about a deli in San Diego...what does that have to do with Vegas! Our Capriotti's are fantastic.
I'm surprised by so many good reviews.
I was happy when a new sandwich shop moved in a block away from me in San Diego -- until I tried their sandwiches! I think I have tried it two or three times and I had the turkey sandwich everyone's raving about. WHY are you raving? They use some of the worst bread I have ever tasted. This makes the stuff you buy from a supermarket bakery look like artisan bread.
While there, I heard someone come in from Las Vegas and tell the worker he was so glad to see a Capriotti's sign because he ate there all the time in LV. All I can say is I guess chomping on a tasteless, textureless sponge is cool with LVers. I'm a New Yorker; I know sandwiches. No wonder the place here is always empty!
easily the best sandwiches in vegas. i'm a native las vegan currently living in los angeles, and i make it a point to go here every time i visit. the bobbie is my favorite, but i also recommend the philly cheesesteak. great for take out.
East Coast-style sandwich shop attracts diners for its specialty hot and cold subs..
Located in a small strip mall, this eatery offers a variety of sandwiches, including Italian beef subs loaded with shaved roast beef, onions and giardiniere, and hamburger and cheeseburger subs. But it's the turkey sandwiches that keep the crowds coming. Turkey is roasted fresh every day on the premises and hand-carved for sandwiches. The house-specialty is the Bobbie, which offers a complete American Thanksgiving dinner--turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and mayonnaise on a sub sandwich roll.
YUM! Locals place.... We are locals and we frequent Capriotti's regularly. My husband would eat there every day for lunch. Great food and great service. Chopped meat is a distinct difference and is outstanding.
