Editorial Review for Osaka – by John Curtas
In Short
Since 1968, the friendly and informative sushi chefs at Osaka have been keeping neophytes and experts satisfied with sashimi and sushi, expertly sliced and uniquely presented. Most old-time residents had their first taste of toro (fatty tuna belly sashimi) or unagi (grilled sweet and smokey eel) at this bright white outpost on West Sahara. Osaka also offers tatami rooms for parties and its hibachi tables fill up fast on weekends.

This was by far the best sushi I have ever had. My husband and I went to Osaka after researching the restaurant online, and were EXTREMELY pleased. It was by far the freshest fish I have had. The toro was great...but even better was the tuna noted to be better than Toro. It was amazing. Do have to admit the meal ended up being VERY pricey...but well worth it. If you are going to give it a shot, I would recommend driving. Getting a taxi cab to TAKE you that far off the strip was a relatively easy task. To get one to come all the way back to take you to the strip was next to near impossible.
Pros: Great food, fun ambience.
Cons: Tough to find a taxi coming/going to the strip.

"a friend recommended this place in las vegas. if you dont mind driving off the strip, this is a legitimate sushi place. they have two different locations to serve you. we went for lunch to the one on sahara, food was fresh, and tasty. you have to find these places that the locals frequent. people that live in vegas dont go and do anything on the strip."
Pros: good food
Cons: only tried tiramisu dessert. can be missed.
