Top Pho in Vegas.
to "dagny8t": this is a locals place. People who come here are regulars. So... needless to say, you need to walk in like you belong there. Walk with confidence, make eye-contact with anyone there (owners or green shirts <<--bussers / waiters are the same) and mouth the number of members in your party.
They will seat you immediately depending if the house is full or not. The same waiters/bussers have been there for years and they always remember me and my order. A #10 Pho dac biet<3 YUM. A flavorful broth with delicate rice noodles and a plethora of assorted beef, fatty beef, trip and tendon. Always served piping hot with onion, cilantro, and a plate of fresh been sprouts, jalapenos, lime, viet mint, and viet basil. Salivating yet? Needless to say, I come here all the time.
Their appetizers are just as delicious. Try the Viet Egg Rolls served with radish, cucumber, mint, basil, and lettuce. And their spring rolls are fantastic as well! Juicy and delicious shrimp with rice noodles, basic, and other delicious fillers and the most flavorful peanut dipping sauce ever created.
Growing up in the Bay Area and being Vietnamese myself, no one can compare to my mom's Pho or all the great Vietnamese restaurants in Cali. When I moved to Vegas 4 years ago, I searched and searched for a great Vietnamese place and this was as close as I got at the time.
The pho was up to par but my family loved the shrimp/beef grill at the table and roll your own spring rolls dish. I actually loved coming here until I started to get waited on by "non" Vietnamese waiters. I don't mean to be biased BUT since I am Vietnamese and speak fluent Vietnamese, I prefer to do my ordering in Vietnamese- catch my drift?
Other than that the food is very good for Las Vegas.
Staff completely ignored us - non-asian customers aren't served?. This is a weird thing, I know, but myself and my friend (both white) went in for some pho on a friend's recommendation last week. The busser sat us but the wait staff completely ignored us... we witnessed other people being seated and served food before we could even wave down a waiter. The one thing that set us apart is that we were the only all white table in the restaurant. We couldn't help but feel that our business was discouraged. The friend who recommended, by the way, is from Okinawa. Perhaps we're crazy but I felt very unwelcome. After waiting 20 minutes for a waiter to notice us, we left.
best vietnamese food in town. i love vietnamese food so much, and i think Pho so 1 is the best restaurant in town, food is good, service is fast and the price is reasonable to my income .
best pho and springroll in vegas and try their marinated shrimp / beef on the table grill. this place had been around for along time and if you want to eat vietnamese food ,you have to go a authentic vietnamese place ! they have the best pho in vegas by far compare to any other pho place in vegas ,what do you taste most when you eat pho? THE SOUP of course and they do have the best soup and thier fresh spring roll dip in peanut sauce is heaven if you're into mint ,beansprout ,lettuce, carrot and dikon ,so if you likes greens then this is you're place because in every dish its either with vegetable in it or with vegetable on the side .they are very busy so the services is not 5 stars ,still very attendtive to thier customers.Very reasonable price !i had try PHO KIMLONG ,they have great chinese food and other dishes but thier pho still can't compare to PHO SO1!I wish you good eating chao!
caution. Recently closed by the health inspector. The health inspector closed it because of all the pesky little critters and other issues. They have almost been closed before even. Closed for a second time by the health inspector. Eat here with a note of caution.
Excellent Pho. We had lunch at this restaurant located at 4745 Spring Mountain Road. We shared a bowl of pho tai (rare steak) accompanied by fresh basil, herbs, lemon and bean sprouts. A liberal skirt of Sriracha chili and I was happy. We also shared a delicious order of goi cuon (steamed egg rolls with shrimp, noodles and veggies) with a peanut dipping sauce
its ok...not the best. This does not beat PHO KIM LONG....pho kim long has a better ambience.....better food...bigger portions...better selections!
Best Authentic Vietnamese in VEGAS. I'm Vietnamese/Chinese and I've grown up on Viet food in Bolsa, CA (which has the BEST Viet food other than Vietnam) and I must say Pho So 1 (Number #1 Pho translation) is BY FAR the best viet in vegas. They offer great authentic cuisine with a lot of variety. The Bo 7 Mon (7 courses of beef) is great and also the HUGE portion of Banh Ceo (egg crepe filled with shrimp, beansprouts, pork) is a must try. The mexican bus boys even speak Vietnamese! AMAZING place. must try- no question about it!!!!!
