I stay here regularly.
I go to Vegas about twice a month and find that The Palace Station suits all my needs. Starbucks and The Cafe are great and easy to find. It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at SweetHotelDeals.us They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Stay away.
We arrived at the Palace Station after a long flight from NYC only to find out that the tower room we paid for was not available and they were giving us a courtyard room. The courtyard rooms should be demolished because they're that nasty and run down. I called the front desk daily because we were told that our room would be available the next day but that never happened. So we spent 6 nights in that dump because Travelocity would not help us get a refund. The Palace Station only offered two free breakfast buffets for our trouble... funny thing is that in no way makes up for the extra $15 a night we paid to stay in the tower rooms. Between the rude staff and management of the Palace Station and the lack of customer service Travelocity provides our trip was ruined. Also - if you're traveling with family GO elsewhere because there were numerous hookers inside the property and homeless people will approach you in the parking lot because the security does nothing but sit at the doors. You have NO protection in the parking lot or garage.

Best Locals hang out.
As a local this is our hang out. Very good variety of places to eat, not crowded like casino's on the strip. They have the same gaming as any of the strip casinos. They also have a bowling center and arcade so familys are welcome here.

NO FRILLS BARGAIN HOTEL.
how can you complain about a $29.00 a night hotel room? sure it was small and the bathroom was so small that you were pretty much in the shower when you where brushing your teeth at the sink, but it was very clean, the bed was really comfortable, and free access to the gym, if you want to stay cheep you cant go wrong here.

A comfortable off-Strip hotel offering a versatile array of entertainment and dining options..
The Scene
This venerable property opened as the Casino in 1976 with 100 slots and 60 table games. It added bingo in 1979 (and became the Bingo Palace), and then in the mid-'80s it was remodeled and given its current name. Its Victorian-era railroad theme begins with a train car at its entrance and is continued inside with a train logo painted on its windows.
The Details
Of the 1,021 guest rooms in the Courtyard and the newer 21-story Tower, 300 are refurbished, as are the rooms in the 20,000 square-feet of meeting space. Tower rooms contain cable TV, Internet access and safes. A small room has been converted to an exercise center. The sports book has remained a favorite, along with the lounge featuring the Laugh Trax comedy show. The pool area includes a spa and a pool menu.

NOT WORTH THE RATES.
First and last time we stayed here was in the courtyard rooms. They were hosting a teen basketball tourn. The walls were paper thin with basketball games in the hallways that security ignored. At 7:45 in the morning the maids starting vacuuming the hallways, slamming the machines against all the doors. We had been up most of the night. The rooms were barely large enough to walk into. The bingo hall is one of the best in Vegas but you do NOT want to stay at the hotel. The buffet was way over priced and their rewards program(slot card points) has the highest requirements of any casino.

Offstrip Casino With Large Bingo Hall.
This place is the first hotel I ever stayed at in Vegas. Its a very nice place (we had a tower room). It offers a large casino area and a large Bingo Hall. Located off the strip, its quite a hike or a taxi ride to anything else. The walk might not seem that farbut trust me it is. The plus side is that the prices are reasonable since it is so far away from anything else. A good place to stay and play, but if you want to see Vegas, you probably want to get someplace downtown or on the strip with more nearby options.

Great hotel for their rates.
I've heard pretty bad comments about the courtyard rooms so I decided to stay at a tower room and let me tell you that it was really nice. They are spacious, clean, well furnished and quiet (Thick walls).
The buffet is kind of small so I recomend the one at The Orleans wich is not to far.
They have a good large gaming area so you don't have to go else where looking for good options.

Off Strip Accomidations.
I found the help and accomidations quite impressive. For an older hotel in the city, it was very well maintained. I loved the Irish pub. Very good traditional Irish band on the weekends. Good eateries, the slots were also good. Overall good value for the weekend.

Pleasantly Surprised.
We stayed in a tower room for six nights.. It was nice and quiet. I imagine a courtside room to be noisy, considering it is on the highway. The buffet was excellent. I would definitely stay here again. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The casino was never crowded. I expected this to be a run of the mill hotel, but it was much nicer than that.
