Tips for Desert Pines Golf Club

South Carolina in Vegas. I played this course last weekend. Couldn't believe how immaculate it was. Fairways were in perfect condition, not to mention the greens as well. I usually play other courses around Las Vegas, but this one was recommended to me by the Concierge at Mandalay Bay. I was on a budget, since most of my $$$ was tied up with the blackjack table, but was glad to see that this particular establishment was easy on my pockets. For the amount I paid for, I couldn't believe the shape the course was in. They even had a 2 tiered, automatic ball tee, driving range. That automatic ball tee was the most coolest thing ever. I didn't have to reach down and put the ball on the tee once. Made the strain on my knees and back much easier. On the course, I noticed that they had wooden planks lined up around their bunkers and later found out that this course was designed by Pete Dye himself. Great course, Great rates, and Great staff. I couldn't have been happier playing at a course that would've costed me an arm and a leg. Thanks to the Mandalay Bay Concierge for the recommendation and thank you to Desert Pines for again, making my trip to Vegas memorable! BTW, after your round, I recommend getting the Montecristo Sandwich at the Clubhouse. It's to "Dye" for. ;)

A Must Play When Visiting VEGAS!. Beautiful lush emerald green fairways, greens that roll true and the friendliest staff I've ever encountered when playing a resort course. What I really enjoyed about this course were the tight fairways and water that plays on nearly half the holes. While the course isn't very long it certainly requires crafty iron play! Highly recommended and in my book a must play when golfing in Las Vegas.

A M A Z I N G !. This course is my favorite in Las Vegas! Everyone is very attentive and friendly. The food is the best that I've had at any golf course EVER! You have to stop and eat here!!! Hole number 12 - Tunnel Vision- is my favorite!

Outstanding Course - Pristine Conditions. I just visited Las Vegas for the first round of March Madness and played Desert PInes Golf Club (3/17/2010). I must say I was impressed! Desert Pines came at the recommendation from a friend who played it earlier in the year. The course was in amazing conditions, the greens rolled very true, the customer service was top notch and to top it offer our group managed to save 20% off the posted rate because we booked through their website - WaltersGolf . com. I look forward to heading back to Vegas next year and playing Desert Pines again! Highly recommended!

It's a breath of fresh air at this pine-lined course. A few birdies and you'll be whistling Dixie.. The Course
Aptly named course pulls no punches. Desert Pines comes as advertised. The fairways here are lined with more than 4,000 towering pines, leading many to call it "The Pinehurst" of Las Vegas. The numerous water features, plush fairways and white sand bunkers are a nod to the Carolinas and the two-tiered practice facilities, which more importantly for Vegas are climate controlled, are top notch. The clubhouse is stocked with name brand apparel and Duffer's Restaurant serves lunch and dinner.

Desert Pines -- day out. I played Desert Pines during the summer -- it must have been 110 degrees. Basic golf. Fairly easy. Conditioning is fair. Practice facilities poor.

There's better places to tee it up.
