THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN VEGAS!. O.K. I JUST HAVE TO SHARE IT, I ONLY GET TO GO ONCE A YEAR, BUT IT'S WORTH THE 7 HOUR ROUND TRIP! HIDDEN IN A "CELLAR" UNDER THE FOUR QUEENS HOTEL (I KNOW, TRUST ME) THIS IS LIKE ANOTHER WORLD, YOU WILL ABSOUTELY FORGET THAT YOU ARE IN A CASINO, MUCH LESS LAS VEGAS!! OLD-OLD SCHOOL SERVICE, GREAT FOOD, GREAT AMBIANCE!! VERY ROMANTIC. FUN FOR HIGH ROLLERS TO THE AVERAGE GUY, THIS IS WHERE THE GHOSTS OF FRANK, DEAN AND SAMMY EAT!! COME HUNGRY!! AND DON'T SKIP THE SALAD BAR ON WHEELS!! SEE YOU THERE THIS NEW YEARS!!

below average at best. was told you have to try hugo's cellar, well i tryed it and wont be back! nothing special about the food, mid grade steak at best, not in the class of any of the prime steakhouses, service was inconsistant, asked for water 3 times before we got it, no real value , it is down town so the prices should be less than on the strip and there not. it is not a horible place, just not a good place ,gourmet dining? i think not!

Nothing special. My wife and I went here on our anniversary and were dissappointed. We had been reccommended Hugo's as romantic and fine dining. We arrived dressed for a fine dining establishment and found many patrons in shorts and baseball caps. It was extremelyy loud, not exactly what I call romantic either. When my wife asked if it was always that loud, they did move us to a better table in the corner. After dinner they asked us if we wanted cappacino or expresso, then came back and said machine was out of order. The food was pretty good and overall service was not that bad. I think had it not been a special occassion and we had not been so overdressed we would have enjoyed it more.

Excellent ambiance. If you want a very romantic, quiet dinner, this is the place to go. The staff goes out of their way to make you happy. The food is very good, has a variety of prices,,,some can be high but being so comfortable you probably won't mind. You are not rushed, if your table isnt ready when you arrive, you can sit at the bar, enjoy some cheese and crackers or make your way to a table located in the front of the restaurant and sit and relax with your drinks. I would definately recommend having reservations, and not trying to just walk in and be seated.

We go here everytime we are in Vegas and its never disappointed us. So if you find yourself Downtown, enjoying Freemont Street, make a point to go into the Four Queens Hotel and Casino and check out Hugos or make a reservation for another night!

A traditional, romantic British-style dining room serving meaty favorites.. In Short
Upon arrival, every female diner is greeted with a long-stemmed red rose. The romance continues in the dining area that resembles an English sitting room and features exposed brickwork and low ceilings. Hugo's takes pride in a menu that's heavy on the basics: beef, chicken, fish and veal. Some dishes are prepared tableside like Hugo's Hot Rock Specialty, which includes tenderloin medallions, marinated swordfish, chicken breasts and jumbo shrimp that diners cook on a slab of granite.

Annual Trip. We have a girls' group from Cocoa Beach, Florida that goes on an annual gambling trip. Last year we went to Las Vegas and stayed at the Four Queens. I had never heard of Hugo's Cellar, but had not been to Las Vegas in over 17 years and I was a teenager then.

My experience with this restaurant was wonderful! I cannot even describe how impeccable the service was, how friendly and helpful the sommelier and waiter were. The food was excellent but the salad was incredible (we vowed to come back for the salad only because the salad was enough for a meal). We are coming back in August and cannot wait! It is expensive, but it is classified as a special occasion restaurant and it is perfect for that.

REALLY WENT.... WE WERE IN VEGAS FOR OUR WEDDING ON JULY 13, 2003 AND ATE AT HUGO'S. IT WAS EVERYTHING THAT THE REVIEWS SAID. THEY HAD IMPECCABLE SERVICE, A WONDERFULLY ROMANTIC SETTING, REASONABLE PRICES, AND THE QUALITY OF FOOD WAS TOTALLY ON THE MARK. IT IS TRULY A VEGAS SECRET.
