Editorial Review for Texas Station Hotel & Casino – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
This lively resort is filled with booty gained during visits to garage and yard sales, as well as design studios from the panhandle of dusty west Texas to Dallas, Austin and Houston. In fact, its executives, architects and decorators amassed the largest assortment of Texas memorabilia outside of the Lone Star state. The entrance doors are adorned with brass rodeo-cowboys-on-bucking-broncos handles. Additional artifacts include branding irons, horseshoes, holsters, hats, chaps and buffalo skins.

Loved this hotel. Off the strip, so not as much traffic. Kids had a great time at the Kid zone. Good overall. Buffet has huge amount of options.

Pros: Off strip, kid zone

Cons: Off strip if you are interested in that.

We stayed at a preferred room, they are large (2 queens), well equipped (coffee maker, iron, fridge) and really quiet. We had a great view of the strip and downtown. The casino is very large and has a good selection of video poker and slot machines in all denominations, single, double deck and shoe blackjack, craps, let it ride, all the games we like and with pretty good rules and limits. Their food is reasonably priced without loosing its quality.

Pros: Good value, Great food, Great casino

Cons: Far from the strip
