Clean, Inexpensive friendly service.
Just to start off I have not personally been to Skyline Restaurant & Casino. The reason for my review today is because I recommend it to my parents. You see my parents were driving from Arizona to San Francisco to visit me they gave me a call and informed me that they wanted to stay in Vegas for a night. Knowing that Vegas can be some what complicated to navigate and a hard place to make choices I offered to find them some inexpensive dinner and hotel recommendations since I was in front of my computer. I went on a limb and Trusted some reviews I read online; Mainly Excellent Prime Rib Dinner for $10.00 and that the place was very clean and hospitable. They trusted my advice and decided on dinner at Skyline.
I called them the next morning and asked them how it was. They told me that they were blown away at how good the food and service was. They said the casino it self had probably seen better days but that it was clean and respectable place. My mother went as far to say that it was the best prime rib that she ever had. All in all they absolutely loved the restaurant and we very pleased.
They ended up staying at the new holiday in a bit down the road. It was recently build in January. It cost them $89.00 for one night.
Great Late-Night Eats!. Hubby, some friends and I stopped here for a late dinner one night during the last Renaissance Faire (we're part of the "living history" performances there). We must have come during an "off time", since the place wasn't crowded at all, nor was it smoky. The service was fast and cheerful. The chicken-fried steak was fork-tender, crisp and juicy, and topped with a very good gravy. Hubby's top sirloin was also quite tender and cooked to perfection. The salads and sides were pretty standard stuff, but the rolls - oh my! They were hot, fresh, and tasted home-made! We will definitely be back next year. This place is easily the best "dive" in Henderson or Las Vegas!
I loved the Skyline. My husband and I travel to Vegas 6-8 times per year. I read the reviews on the internet about Skyline and decided to try it. I am glad we did. Loved the food, the service, and the gaming. I found the place to be very clean and very friendly. The prices I thought were average. Would I go again. Planning to in February. Try it you'll like it : )
Drunk eats!. I love this place!!!.. its soo trashy! Its the best spot to go to when you are drunk and hungry!!! You can play nickels while you wait for grandma to seat you! Best of all.. the food is like $1.00... you can even treat your friends! psyche!
Coffee. I am not a coffee drinker, but at the Skyline I usually have at least 2 cups! Each pot is freshly ground and they use the best coffee beans. I've asked what kind they use of course and of course they won't tell me.
Old Vegas at it Very Best.. Have dined Their and each time we Found the service Above most in town for feeling welcome and Happy you eat well feel great and is that not what a night out is supposed to be like. Cannot say enough good about Skyline. it is Old Vegas at her Very best and the smoke well hey folks if you want old West and great prices Go there you WILL love it.
Do not Miss this one. Great Food and Plenty of it. Breakfast 2 can eat for $5 and be full and food still on your plate. Lunch and Dinners are great values also. Normally quick service even when they are busy.
Vegas' Highlight. No way do we go to Vegas without taking our friends to the Skyline! We eat most of our meals there. We took our grand-daughter a couple years ago (8 at the time) and had to go every morning for a prime rib breakfast! Strip quality at better then back home "favorite joint" prices. Taking more friends this January, and can't wait to introduce them to the Skyline. It's my #1 recommendation, and all who take my advice come back with rave reviews. The Skyline should pay me a commission!!!!! (lets keep this place our little secret)
full up. we ate at the skyline last year and it was good ,we had the 28oz porterhouse for 3.99 andit was better than anywhere on the strip
Some Things Never Change!. The Skyline is an eastern Las Vegas landmark. Where else can you still get a delicious prime rib dinner for '70s prices? The food nor the ambience have probably never changed since the day the restaurant was founded. It looks like the greasy spoon everyone in town went to for Sunday dinner where I grew up in Eastern Washington (sans the casino)--definitely not a spot to take a first date! However, the food is good, down-to-earth, stick-to-your-ribs victuals. Actually, the restaurant is located on the eastern side of Henderson on the highway to Boulder Dam. To save yourself a few bucks and have a terrific dinner at the same time, and perhaps meet a roadrunner or two, the Skyline is the hottest roadhouse around!
