Doctors >Lewis, Michelle, DO - Lewis Michelle DO
Bad Customer Service. I made an appointment 3 months ago, wrote it on my calendar arrived yesterday day of 15 mins early to my surprize they didn't have me on their schedule but they told me the doctor wasn't there yet and their were 2 couples already waiting. The recp told me I could fill out the paper work as I was new and the doctor would see me I asked when she couldn't tell me as it was my day off I told her my time was just as valuable as hers. I don't know about doctors now days I'm from a time when you have an appointment for a certain time I'm there within 5 mins Not a very good first impression she obviously doesn't need the buisness. I wish they would of told me she didn't care enough to be there or have a good staff.
Dr Michelle Lewis was highly recommended to me and she delivered my baby at the beginning of this month and I absolutely love her. She has great bedside manners and during delivery she gets you focused and is sort of like a coach. I would use her again if I decided to get pregnant again. You will love her. Just be ready to wait sometimes because she is a one women practice. It's worth I though!
RUDE, RUDE STAFF!!!. I've been going to her for several years, as my mother referred me since she has been going for several years before me and highly recommended her. I personally have had the WORST experiences with her staff, mainly the front desk. They booked me on a Saturday morning, which I was not aware they werent even open on weekends. They called to confirm the day before, so I show up on my appt day and the office is closed. I called the following Monday, left a voicemail and no one ever returned my call. I finally got ahold of a rude front desk girl about 6 days later and instead of saying "I'm sorry, we made a mistake let me reschedule you" she proceeded to ARGUE with me saying "no we never scheduled you. we don't schedule saturday appts, etc" I was getting frustrated that she was arguing with me and saying the earliest she could get me in would be a month from then! I was frustrated as I had booked my appt about 3 months in advance and now saying I had to wait ANOTHER MONTH, though it was their fault!!! I went in circles and they kept transferring the phone to different staff members who wouldn't let me share my behalf and continually cut me off when speaking and ultimately hung up on me. VERY rude, highly do NOT recommend this place. It's unfortunate, because dr. lewis is a good doctor, but due to her staff she just lost another patient.
Dr. Lewis just delivered my second son. My experience with her and her staff was phenomenal!!! She is such an amazing Doctor and is truly an incredible person. I can not say enough about how great my experience was with her.
I feel so fortunate to have found her as we just moved to Las Vegas earlier this year. She has also delivered 2 of my friends children and they love her as well.
After my son was born, she held him and stayed with us for awhile. She is truly an OBGYN for all the right reasons. She is so caring and so relates to women and the concerns we have both during pregnancy and postpartum.
Her office staff was incredibly kind and always did everything they could to help me! The only drawback is that she does deliver all of her own babies so sometimes there is a bit of a weight. However, the wait is totally worthy it to go to such a great Doctor!!!
Dr. Lewis is uncaring, superficial & has horrible staff.
Through my 8+ years with Michelle Lewis and her constant turnover of staff over the years, I will be seeking out a physician who still remembers and cares aboout their oath and patient care.
A few things to ponder if you are considering Dr. Lewis as your physician.
Plan on calling to follow-up on the results of your labs, because you may or may not receive a call to let you know of the results, whether they are normal or abnormal.
If you have a question about the result of a lab or culture, don't expect the staff to be able to explain anything. They will tell you that that is what will be explained at your next appointment. Don't ask more than one question, because they become irritated and inpatient.
They leave horrible notes in your chart, as if you may not ever read them. And they'll leave you a message at 4:52pm to call them back, only to turn the phones on night, whether it's 5:00pm or not.
And no, Dr. Lewis does not call her patients.
From a professional level, Dr. Lewis and her staff don't treat the patient as if they were the patient. Very disheartening.
Best Dr. Ever.
Dr.Lewis had been my doctor for 8 yrs and would still be if I hadn't moved away. She delivered all 3 of my babies, my oldest now almost 15 years old. She is a wonderful Dr. and very nice sweet person. Always took the time to answer any question I had and never rushed me out. Many times I had to bring my kids to appointments, she was always very patient and kind to them. She was always good at calling back if i had called with a concern. Very good bedside manner, always calmed what ever fears i had, especially when I had a emergency c-section with my youngest. Though she did use a lot of pet nemes( i.e Sweetie, honey, beautiful) she did know my name and would call me by name. I hve yet to find another dr. ad good, caring and compassionette as her.
As far as her staff, I only once had a problem with them.. That was about 2 or 3 months after I had my youngest, I had called because i thought I had Post Partum Depression, the nurse was very short with me and questionong why I didn't call sooner. But I let it go thinking maybe she was just having a bad day.
again she is a wonderful Dr. and I would refer her to my friends( if i still lived there).
Pass on this doctor if you are 40+.
I have seen Dr. Lewis for the past few years and really liked her. I have no ob/gyn problems and always felt Dr. Lewis was a good doctor. Not anymore.
I recently found out via a blood test through Dr. Lewis that I was menopausal. No surprise there, necessarily, but my dissatisfaction is with how it was handled. First, I received my results via an office staffer phone call telling me to call if I needed anything. When I inquired what I might need since I didn't know, I was told they could write me some prescriptions for symptoms. When I asked what kind of symptoms I should be looking for, I was told anything related to menopause. This circular discussion was getting nowhere fast and since I obviously had never been through menopause, I was shooting in the dark here.
Thankfully, I had an appt with my family doctor shortly afterwards and she told me it was critical for me to be on high levels of Vitamin C and D which I confirmed with other friends and doctors that have a clue. Glad I found that out before I was hunched over with osteoporosis! My family doctor also went over how my body was going to change and what I needed to look for. Menopause, like pregnancy, is a significant change for a woman's body and has many health implications. I expected more from Dr. Lewis.
P.S. She also forgot my mammogram referral! Thank goodnes for my family doctor!
It's your body! Why would you settle for anything less!.
I tried two other OB/GYN's until I found Dr. Lewis. She has been my doctor now for 5+ years and only wish I found her first. She has now delivered my first baby girl and will also deliver my second baby.
Dr. Lewis is caring, understanding, gives great advice, easy to schedule with, and always does what's in my best interest. She is very easy to get a hold of and gives 100% to my needs and concerns. Dr. Lewis and her staff are wonderful at getting me in last minute and returning phone calls with answers/solutions to all my questions.
I work in the medical field and have had a chance to meet plenty of doctors in this town. Word was that "Dr. Lewis is the best in town" they were not kidding!
It's my body and my health so why would I want anything else but the best.
My baby is almost 4 months old now and Dr. Lewis has made it a wonderful experience from the delivery, to breastfeeding and body changes to getting my body back.
I recommend Dr. Lewis to all my family and friends EVERY time.
Poor reviews must be from chronically unhappy people....
I'm really not sure why there are so many negative reviews for Dr. Lewis on here. My guess is that these ladies have some sort of complex going on that causes them to not be satisfied with anything, regardless of how good it is. Dr. Lewis is incredible. She is kind, compassionate, caring, and understanding. She does not judge and is very supportive. She knows her stuff! The staff is very friendly and helpful so I don't know where in the world these "rude staff" comments are coming from. Perhaps you were not so nice to begin with?
I would recommend Dr. Lewis to anyone looking for a good OB/GYN. For those who posted negative reviews, I am really not sure what your issues are, but I am almost certain that you probably have an attitude problem or something, because the chances that this office and doctor would be flat out rude or unhelpful is very slim in my opinion.
Dr Lewis is great but all is lost on the rude staff. Look....I have been a patient for a while, Dr Lewis is great and I'm sure people have had a great experiences with her....but first things first...making an appointment ..that's the mountain you have to climb in order to see the good Dr! I was hung up on, asked to call back, left many voice mails and never called back. Test results were given to me 10 days later when needed within 24 hours for an infection (very dangerous BTW!), and not after me calling and calling! I was also told by a front desk person that I needed a referral in order to make an appointment with her for a breast examine. Staff says it's her policy. Just save all the bitchy staff phone calls, delayed test results and just plain old run-around and go to somoene else with a nice staff that cares. This is our "great" OB in the henderson area...please, someone help us! Dr.'s and their office staff go hand in hand...if one fails, the whole ship is going down!
