Long time to wait to do a review I know but just found this site. It was "ok" for the price and portions of food that are served you can go to a places like momo sushi and get same amount of shisimi and pay less. It was really that good of a place the table placement is spread out to make you think it holds more ppl then it actually does. The quality is a little under buffet style all you can eat sushi places. Just wasn't that good. I'm sure the few very good reviews of this place are from employees there and from friends of the owners. There are other much better japanese places close by to this place I would suggest to anyone they should try the other places.
Saporo Sushi: Worst service ever...or should I say complete lack of service.
by fhal at Citysearch
The reason I give this place a single star is because of the horrendous service. Once we were sat, we waited for over 10 minutes without even being acknowledged. i kid you not. There was one other table in this place and the "waitress" if you can even call her that, would not even make eye contact with us but yet she fussed over this one other table. She got their drink order, took the drinks out, got their food order, put their food order in, came back to the table to bring out the empty plates and soy sauce dishes and then walked into the back kitchen and that is when we decided we couldn't sit there anymore and decided to leave....Meanwhile the "hostess" who was an older woman just sat on her butt and didn't even bother to do anything either. As a waitress myself, there is a lot I will tolerate when i go out to eat because I know how it is....this was inexcusable. The way the economy is right now, you'd think people would be jumping at tables who come in. Apparently SAPORO feels differently. Will never attempt to go here again.
Best Sushi in the valley! WAIT~~~ NEW OWNERSHIP~~~
by BandtheB at Citysearch
I have tried all the sushi places in the valley and they don't compare. The owner takes pride on getting the best quality fish. He also makes sure the sushi is fresh or he gets rid of it. The prices are a slight bit more, but it's the best quality fish. Try some signature rolls....yummmmmy.
WAIT!!!! New ownership......NOT THE SAME QUALITY~~~The owner is opening a new place called Planet Sushi on the other side of the valley :-(
