Dirty!!!!!!! They need to Clean!!!

I have heard so many rave reviews on the food. I went to this place expecting to see a little New York style jewish deli......what I saw was an old condemmed looking New York Stlye Jewish deli. The food was good and the service was ok. However, I could not bring myself to get past the dirt.....everywhere....dirt. The ceiling tiles were even dirty. The kistchen appeared to be spottless, but the rest of the plce was bad. I am unclear how the board of health has yet to shut them down.

Why Don't You Fix This Problem Instead of Defending?

TERRIBLE SERVICE and the owner is WORSE! We live here locally and have patronized Weiss Deli many times because the food is decent. We had an issue a while back with the bad, rude service and brought it to the attention of the owner. The owner was basically defensive, arrogant and unapologetic when I explained what had happened. This response from the one person who should be making sure her employees are well-trained, is the reason there are so many negative comments all over the internet regarding the poor service at Weiss. If the owner doesn't care enough to step up the customer service in her establishment, and wants to rest on the laurels of her food and loyal patrons, then what can I say?

Yesterday our waitress, whom I'm guessing is a family friend or relative - very immature, not trained AT ALL- was nasty, never bothered to check on us during the meal, never bothered to re-fill our drinksand neglected a gentleman sitting beside us in the same way. The owner's response was to condescendingly ask me "are you having a problem again?" WOW!! She then proceeded to brag about how busy her restaurant is - basically making it clear she couldn't care less about us as customers. That's all good and well. There are plenty of others restaurants in town. It's a shame, though. Rather than addressing legitimate concerns, realizing the comments about the poor customer service in your restaurant are not new, and instead of trying to fix the problem.... you alienate. Good Luck with that approach over the long-term!

Good soup

We stopped in for a light lunch. We were surprised how dumpy the restaurant was with its patched vinyl booths and a cold breeze coming in from the outside. My wife ordered a cup of chicken noodle soup and I requested my first ever matzo ball soup. Same soup, but my matzo ball acted like a sponge without offering much flavor. The soup was very good.

Best well kept secret in town!

Ive been coming here every other weekend with my dad for months now and love it. The food is done just right and the price is very reasonable. Two people can get in and out for about $20 bucks.. Coffee is good and as a pescatarian I appreciate the non-meat menu items. Try the Nova Scotia Eggs Benedict.. Sooo good! The only thing is that they don't change up their menu, and it's fairly limited.. Although right now they have banana walnut pancakes to die for on their specials.. Love it! Other reviewer said the service was bad, but I've never had that issue and have been there easily 10 times.. The food comes out quick and the wait staff is very considerate and makes sure you don't go without water/coffee.

• Cons: Busy on weekends, Menu never changes

Authentic Deli!

If you are in a hurry, let them know. Otherwise they get to you when they get to you. The food and portion sizes on their sandwiches and matzoh ball soup are phenomenal! Family owned and operated. Highly recommended if your are Jonesin' for true NY Deli food and ambiance in the Las Vegas area
