We were celebrating our 44th Wedding Anniversary. We picked Mt. Charleston and it was the best anniversary we have ever celebrated! The Resort is "quaint" and has character. Our room was everything we expected. The staff was simply awesome from Patricia, Aaron and Tamarah at the front desk to Angie, Kimberley, Jesse, Darryl, and others in the restuarant and bar. The food was incredible! We also used the coupon which included 2 dinners; 2 breakfasts and your room and paid an extra $40 to stay on Friday night but it was so worth it. The view and atmosphere and feeling of contentment and relaxation made our weekend so very, very special. We will be returning many more times in the future!
Spent this past weekend at the Mt Charleston Resort. It was a great escape from the city. They have live enertainment on the weekends which is great. It seems like the new owners that I read about i the paper are making some improvements. The staff was great and very attentive.
Thank you for the welcome and great service at our luncheon yesterday. Our new staff members and executive staff enjoyed the great food and amazing view of the mountains.
I'd like to thank you for a wonderful
experience for lunch at the lodge restaurant yesterday afternoon. It was my first visit. I brought along a couple of friends visiting from Seattle and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Your greeting and serving staff were all top-notch -- friendly, efficient and attentive. The food and drinks were great. And the vistas from the outdoor patio were stunning. I look forward to many more visits to the lodge.
Once again, thank you very much!
We had lunch on the verdana at the Mt. Charleston Lodge. There were 14 of us and we were treated like royalty. The food was good, hot and served all together. We were able to order off the menu separately and Jason/Jesus took orders, brought food and were excellent servers, friendly, fast, refilling coffee and all other drinks. Thank you gentlemen! Coco, our hostess was charming, always a smile and helpful in every way. It was exceptionally nice of her to have placards on the tables with a Welcome from Mt. Charleston Lodge. It made everyone feel very special. We want to thank all of you for kindness and professionalism; it was a pleasure being in such a nice, COOL place and having a good meal with friends. We'll be back. Thank you again.
Nothing more enjoyable than having lunch at the lodge on a nice afternoon! Dad had the elk burger, and as for myself, the buffalo burger! The food is always good, and the scenery is always a great change from being in Las Vegas!
Went up to Mt Charleston for a romantic dinner over the weekend. We really enjoyed the restaurant at the Mt Charleston Hotel. Every course of our meal was delicious and the management was very attentive. We also loved the live entertainment. We would definitely recommend to couples looking for something more peaceful and romantic than the strip.
'Think they have wi-fi here? Maybe we
could post an update on facebook' I asked my 2 gal friends when, even before they could reply, a couple next table replied, 'We're checked in a cabin. No they don't have a wi-fi' -- 'Bummer, I figured'
But really, when you're up here, lodging by the balcony and surrounded by the breath-taking scenery, the last thing on your mind should be facebook. Take the time to hear the wind roar through the trees, let the smell of flowers fill your senses then listen closely to the birds chirp while live music plays from the inside because you won't see this much trees back in the city.
By the time we got here in the late afternoon, we were already out of breath from our 4 hour jog at Robbers Roost at Lee Canyon and needed a good dose of carbs to refuel. The lodge sat right along Kyle Canyon past the fire station and library, nestled among the greenery. The staff greeted us with a warm welcome to a suburban-esque restaurant made of wood - simple yet sophisticated, not to mention it had a very relaxing ambiance.
With that said, we decided to share an order of the grilled flatbread as well as the garlic roasted chicken pizzas among ourselves. Not taking the positive bias of being the hungry hannahs that we were, I have to say that the pizzas were pretty good, comparable or even better than Cici's pizza. Our mutual favorite was the garlic roasted chicken pizza which was very flavorful and filling. If only we had room to try out dessert, I would've opted for the deep fried cheesecake (it's described in the menu as: Freshly baked New York style cheesecake wrapped in ajumbo flourtortilla with a touch of cinnamon. Topped with chocolate synrp, raspberry) just so that I could say I've already tried this alongside deep-fried mochi but I guess that'll have to wait for next time because we were stuffed to the brim. The service was good, staff was friendly The place deserves a 5-star for its atmosphere alone (I must admit, I am quite the nature girl at heart).
I could've stayed there the whole day and more.
tookit took a trip here in mid April 2012 and really enjoyed it. Las Vegas wasin the 90's and here we were in the snow line! Good food at a reasonable price, everything was home made. Staff were friendly and chatty. Hope to go back soon!
I love this place. Totally family friendly. Nice place for a scenic refreshment after your hike before you head down the mountain back to Las Vegas. A beautiful hearth fire pit in the center, and balcony seating. Staff taking happy pills to deal with all the stuck up tourists, apparently, because I have always had a positive experience. Love this place to death
