A downtown landmark that only gets better with age.. In Short
Fourteen stories tall, the Fremont was the first high-rise hotel downtown. Since opening in 1956, it has aged fairly well and today, its primely located in the center of the Fremont Street Experience pedestrian walkway. Pink- and orange-neon lights line the outside of the hotel; inside, arches over the casino bar are covered with purple neon lights to good affect. As is true of most downtown casinos, the Fremont offers a no-frills approach to gambling.
