Sun Valley auto gone to the dogs!. I have been waiting almost 14 months for Sun Valley to complete an engine overhaul for my 1968 Ford Mustang. I started the repair July of 2010 so my daughter could drive the car to school junior year. She is starting her senior year this August 2011 and it is still not done. They have continually failed to communicate with me, locate parts and work to complete this job. I am having to resort to hiring a tow truck and taking the car to someone else to finish it. Since they moved locations and started doing fleet repair work their attention to the little guys who were their bread and butter has faded. I was a loyal customer of theirs for almost 15 years and unfortunately after their treatment of my vehicle and lack of effort to complete the "two week" job, my relationship with them is at an end. I now know how Tom Hanks' caracter felt in the movie "The Money Pit."

Terrible Experience. Sun Valley Automotive, Las Vegas has ripped me off, last month I have some problem in my car, I went to Sun Valley, and they have diagnosed the car. They said it would take approximate one day to repair; I left my car there and paid some advance to them. Next day when I went there, they have not done anything, they told me to come again. Next day it happens again. I become very frustrated, and then I had searched another Auto Repair Shop for my car. It was a horrible experience for me; even they have not returned the money. I recommend you all to not contact these frauds.

Sun Valley Auto Ripped Me Off. Don't ever take your car to this crooked shop. I took my car in for a diagnostic because it was shifting hard and long shift to 2nd gear. They told me it was caused by a broken transmission mount only. I assumed, ( you know what happens when you do that) that they did a complete diagnostic ruling out transmission failure. But no, they did not, they just "looked" at it and decided the most obvious thing must be all that is wrong with it. Well that "band-aid" worked for 3 days and then my car did the same exact thing. I took it back to Sun Valley complaining that my car was still not fixed and they said that they could now do more testing. What? Why? Didn't they already do a diagnostic. Apparently no. I refused and took it to Findlay Honda, they told me my transmission was failing and didn't even charge me a diagnostic fee.

Not only do you get ripped off but you get treated horribly. I tried to formally complain to the General manager, Mike Rumple, but I have only had the pleasure of talking to him twice, each time less than 5 minutes. I have called several times and am always told the same, he is out of the office or in a meeting. Apparently Sun Valley doesn't care about customer service.

When you look at their website they are accredited with an A+ rating from the better business bureau, say that they have ASE certified technicians and are a affiliated with Tech-Net. Which is misleading because you expect knowledgeable technicians and ethical service, you get neither of those with Sun Valley Auto.

Just so everyone knows, Terry B. is Terry Buis the OWNER of Sun Valley Automotive. Shame on you Terry, you should take better care of your company.

Keep on driving. Dont bother unless you need a bicycle or lawnmower fixed. Even then, prepare for an upsell of muffler polishing or headlight strap replacement . I warned you......

Sun Valley Auto Strikes Again. Had my car jump started on June 19, 2009 by Darrell of Fast Tow - he recommened this rip off joint. Purchased a NEW battery for 111.95 and labor for 46.00 and shop charge of 7.90 and tax of 9.29 for ta total of 175.14. Well the battery lasted all of 8 monthes - Auto club came out twice and jump started and would not hold a charge.

Frightening Experience. My experience with Sun Valley Automotive was frightening. I just moved to Las Vegas and am an older woman. Sun Valley replaced my headlights on my truck and replaced a hose relating to the engine at the top of the engine. The owner drove a Harley Davidson motorcycle with a chrome kickstand in the shape of a skeleton hand giving the finger. He has long grey hair and his attitude toward women is frightening. I told him repairs in Las Vegas were expensive and he started screaming at me that I was calling him an inappropriate name that I would never say, nor can I print it in this post. I told him I had never called him any names and to please stop screaming at me and his behavior escalated. He was threatening and frightening. The lights did not work properly when I turned them on that evening. The brights did not work. I returned to the shop and they refused to fix the lights. The lights and a hose cost me $356. The experience cost me my sense of security. The owner is menacing and threatening. I left his shop with my hands shaking and sick to my stomach because of the owner's threatning behavior.

Great Service. My breaks went on my car, I took the car to the repair shop, they looked at it late in the day and called me with the cost. The price was fair, but when I went to pick up the car, it was less than quoted. They even fixed my breaklight at no cost. The shop is really busy and open 7 days a week good place
