Best Indian restaurant in Las Vegas; healthy, delicious, amazing service and beautifully decorated!. I have been to every Indian restaurant in Las Vegas as well as in many other cities and OriginIndia is by far the best. The dishes are innovated with a modern twist, healthy and the service is friendly yet professional and always knowledgeable. If you are visiting Las Vegas or are a local I highly recommend this hidden jewel of the dessert, be brave and adventurous, Indian food is extremely comforting and so very delicious. They also cater to parties of all sizes and can house as many as 600 for private luncheons and diners. Enjoy!!!

Now onto the food :
We tried the full meal sampler that was $70 for two. We started off with the Mulligatawny soup which was a tad too salty. Then the hightlight of our meal - the chicken mint and lamb boti kabab. One word describes it - perfect. Just the right mix of spices and the chicken and lamb grilled items were very tender.
The Southern Grill fish was slightly on the bland side but very fresh and the Kodi Vepudu was definitely an acquired taste. The lamb Biryani was not all that impressive and the chicken makhani and dal were good but not spectacular.
Ras Malai was excessively sweet and the halwa was not exceptional. The pistachio ice cream (kulfi) was superb.
I would recommend this restaurant because of its decor, ambience, location (very close to the strip) and service but with a caveat - stick to the tandoori (grill) items because these are surefire winners. The other stuff is touch and go (imho). Overall, perhaps I walked in with high expectations but some of the items on the sampler menu fell short of expectations; especially given the menu prices !

Another great spot in Vegas!!! Try the chicken mahkni and the eggplant appetizer. They are both lovely and the chicken has the perfect amount of spice...
The staff was very friendly and the space is very well done. Nice ambience.
It was empty though, which I found surprising. Maybe people are still catchin on to Indian food here?

Best Indian Food in Town. The best restaurant in town. Since the opening over a year ago - we haven't been to any other indian place. The food is just too good. They have just rolled out a new menu and I highly recommend you try some of the new selections. We can't get enough of this place.

I have been eating at Origin India for several weeks now, and the food is always amazing. Recently with the kebab festival going on, we just couldn't get enough.
Friday nights are a great spot for dancing and socializing.
If you are open to new food or just want to try a nice restaurant this place is definitely for you.
Great food, friendly staff. Awesome experience. My wife and I decided to try Origin India after we have heard several good reviews. We were definitely impressed. The food was amazing. My vegetarian wife had several delcious choices. Highly recommend the potato appetizer. I was thoroughly impressed with the kebab menu. The lamb selection was out of this world. The bar is a little small, but the drinks were definitely not short on flavor. The location is central across from the Hard Rock. Highly recommended.
Great Restaurant!!!. My boy friend and I were visiting from San Diego and were told to check this place out. It was amazing. I tried a potato vegetarian dish and my boy friend tried one of the lamb dishes. Both were excellent. The service was very friendly and helpful. They also offered for us to try these wonderful mango martini's. We were very happy with the whole experience and wish there was one of these in San Diego.

09/09 The new Executive Chef, Kuldeep Singh, has reworked the menu so we had difficulty choosing from the listing of new entrees. Our first selection was the grain-fed chicken breast stuffed with wild mushroom and black prunes, served with cashew nut korma sauce accentuated with truffle oil and pulao rice. Our second entrée was baked baby eggplant in Hyderabadi sesame, peanut sauce tempered with curry leaves, mustard seeds and whole red chilies which included lemon rice. Our choice for bread was naan stuffed with sweet apricot and raisins. Everything was visually spectacular and equally delicious.
04/09 We were warmly greeted by Raja, the owner/manager, and his excellent wait staff. Raja told us the chef would like us to sample some dishes from their soon to be released new menu. We started off with papadum accompanied by tamarind and mint sauces which are always excellent. This was followed by panipuri, a popular street snack comprised of a round hollow “puri” fried crisp and filled with bits of potato and greens balanced on a thin shot glass filled with tamarind, spices and sparkling water.
Our next surprise was a tandoori sampler of lamb, chicken and shrimp with fresh sprouts. It was an amazing appetizer in terms of beauty, tenderness and flavor. We were asked how spicy would we like our entrees, I prefer spicy and Ann likes medium so we compromised and requested medium. – go figure. We again were the recipient of Raja’s generosity when the bartender presented us with glasses of fresh ginger ale made from scratch from ginger and lime mixed with sparkling water. These proved to be an amazing complement to our entrees of chicken makahani (butter chicken) and lamb Rajwari. Our entrees included black lentils, naan, basmati rice and salad greens. On exiting we went to the bar to complement the bartender and he gave us a small sample of his black cherry martini – wow! Should I ever end up on death row, this will probably be the last meal I request.
09/08 Update - This restaurant continues to be impressive on many levels, not the least of which is the owner?s willingness to improvise and update the menu. Raja recognized my name on the reservation and came over to say hello. He also sent over an order of BBQ chicken, the evening?s special appetizer, which was beautiful to both the eye and tongue. We were also served house made papadum with mint and tamarind sauces. Our shared entrees this evening were lamb raawali (boneless lamb with Indian spices, tomatoes, yogurt and a touch of cashew) and chicken Labrador (chicken delicately cooked in tomato gravy with a hint of coconut). The entrees were accompanied by a large bowl of black lentils, rice and Naan. Service throughout, as usual, was outstanding and the food sublime.
Great food, amazing customer service. We were told about Origin from a friend and were very glad to try this place out. We have only had indian food a few times in town and weren't able to find a restaurant that was up to par. Origin far exceeded our expectations. The food is fun and trendy as well as delicious. A great place for a date or a large group. We can't wait to go back and try out the private dining room for my next birthday.
Best Kebab's in town!!. A few friends and I were visiting Vegas last week and we stopped at Origin India for lunch. They have the absolute best kebab's. We shared several different ones and all were delicioius. I highy recommend you check this place out. Great food!
