BAD FIRST IMPRESSION!! I took my
husband in for an appt....(I had been seen by PA-Suzanne with good results.) However, this appt. was awful. Waited over 45 min in an empty lobby, mind you. Had an 8am appt and it was quiet. Saw PA-Bess and she spent less than one minute...merely seconds... to look at husband's face. She proceeded to mumble about sunscreen as she walked out the door. Next thing, we were told the procedure needed prior authorization which is untrue. We have had the same procedure/diff DR/same ins. - with no auth for years. They just wanted the 2nd co pay and a rtn visit. It was going to be 2 weeks- told to us by the nurse. I even asked if that was all the time with the Doctor, mentioning it was short. Nurse's reply was..."yep". So, as we left we handed the instructions to rtn back to office staff.
Staff said, "do you wanna make another appt?"
We replied, "no, we won't be coming back."
And this tipified the first impression!
Too bad...used to be a nice office. Now, I need a new Dermotologist!
Be aware of this Dermatology office!!!

Dr Suzanne Megann is very incompetent, it looks like she doesn't know what she is doing or she doesn't care because she didn't bother to look and inspect the area that needed attention. She was with me for less than 3 mins and after I was sent home with the prescription which didn't help or make any difference. She never said that I should change my diet or cut on sweets. I take it as she didn't care. I mean I goggled and found more helpful information instead of receiving that information from the doctor. She damaged more than she helped!!!
The wait was over an hour an a half,never got to see the doc. I am not a new patient however the appointment today was for my son. We originally had an appointment today at 2:30 we were called by the doctors office in the morning to see if we could come in earlier. I agreed to 1:00. We waited till 2:25 and still were not seen. I did complain to the front desk staff who really didnt seem to care at all. I told her that we had been waiting well over an hour and we were leaving so she said " Ok See ya" Based on this I will now be looking for a new doctor for me and my son.
Front office staff is incompetent!. I don't know where the good reviews for the office staff are coming from other than maybe written by Woodson's staff. The doctors were wonderful, but they really need to check up on what their front office staff is doing. It has been a nightmare to try and get them to find referrals faxed to them from a primary care physician. For weeks they told us it was never sent, then they finally "found" it and by then it was expired and we had to start all over again. We finally got a biopsy done and again for weeks we have been waiting for them to fax their biopsy and referral to the cancer derm. And, they referred us to a physician that isn't covered by our insurance(something the cancer office said they should have been aware of). So I'm having to do their work for them and pick up the papers and drive them over to a new cancer derm. Avoid this place!!
THE PA-C IS HORRIBLE. My appointment was at 1:30 and was brought into a room on time. I waited for the doctor for about 5-7 mins. Bess Paragas asked me what's wrong and I showed her my skin problem. She looked at it and said it's so and so thing. She said she would be right back that she would get a creme. I waited for 10-15 mins and the assistant walked in with my prescription. I told the assistant where Paragas was that I had question that were never answered. 5 minutes later she comes in and says Okay what questions do you have for me with this nasty attitude! I got pissed off and walked out and said thank you! So this thing she prescripted better do miracles. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I SURE WILL GO TO ANOTHER OFFICE!
WOODSON? THEY SUCK!. Went like. . .1998? Have been out of Vegas 4 years and now out of nowhere these losers post something on my credit report showing a delinquent account from 10/2007? Note - haven't been in Vegas since 2006. Anyway, when I went? Was covered by TriCare military ins and my own employer's ins - had no unreimbursable charges. Seriously? Way to ruin someone's credit from your error. Note "big issue" is a supposed $84 balance. THEY SUCK!
Great Service. I have heard great things about this dermatologist office through friends and co workers. With my experience with other doctors offices I was a little nervous, but when I called to ask a few questions I was very pleased with the polite phone person,they answered all of my questions. I am unable to make an appointment right now but when I do this office will be the first I call. :)
The staff. I have recently moved to Las Vegas and found a GREAT Dermatology office! The STAFF is EXCELLENT! If you LOOKING for a GREAT Dermatologist GO TO Woodson Dermatology!!
Best Staff of any office Ive ever been to. The staff at both offices are careing and courtious. I had laser hair removal and after only 2 treatments - I have Excellent results! Thank you Woodson Drs, PA's Nurses and staff for such a wonderful experience.
Great Doctors Great Staff. I recently had the privelage of being a patient at Woodson, and I must say in my history of doctors they have to be one of the best in Las Vegas. The front office staff was very kind and courteous and welcomed me to their office. The nurses were very nice and took me in a very timely manner, and the doctor was absolutely amazing. He covered every concern I had and actually took the time to talk with me. I was given prescriptions which helped dramatically. I would just like to say that they will definitely be my dermatologist of choice and who I recommend to others.
