Ideal Plumbing Services

Ideal Services "hoses" customer.. My water heater went bust and needed to be replaced. I have a home warranty thru Old Republic which I love, I called them and they had Ideal Services call me, made an appt, the tech came and talked to the Old Republic service person. Apparently all the charges for replacing the water heater would be covered under the warranty except for a "rerouting charge" for the pressure relief valve that turned out to be $140. For that kind of money and "rerouting" I thought quite a substantial job was involved so I agreed to pay it out of pocket. After the job was done I asked the tech where was the "rerouting". He showed me the pressure relief valve on top of the water heater (the new water heater had it on top instead of on the right side off center on my old one. Mind you, they have to change the copper valves every time they installed a new water heater so the job had to be done but the location of the valve was different. In other words there was no "rerouting" involved just a change of location of the valve. I asked him if this charge was excessive and he told me that is what the company is asking him to charge. I called the office manager this a.m to contest this charge and her response was this is what it is and "have a nice day".

Naturally, I am not happy about paying $140. for a simple 18" copper hose so please beware of these charges.

Happy Customer. Had some electrical issues at our house, Jose came out & got everything all fixed up. We were also interested in having some outdoor lighting done in our backyard, he gave us a couple different ideas and once we agreed on one he wrote us up a bid even though that wasn't what our appointment was for. We've since had him back and had the lighting done and are happily enjoying this cool weather in our backyard.…

Great Company. We used these guys this year for our annual ac check up, our daughter has severe allergies so every year we have our units checked, filters replaced etc. We have used a few different companies over the years, we will be using Ideal Services from here on out. The technician was clean, professional and friendly.…
