It was one of the worst experiences that I have ever had. The atmosphere was like being in a subway station. It was very noisy. The waiter was pleasant enough but you could tell that he was trying to rush you to order. The wait staff tries to upsell their side dishes which I did not appreciate. My husband and I both had the medallions of beef with mashed potatos. I had to return mine as it was drowning in pepper. When they brough out our dishes they were served on a plate that was to small.Mashed potatos that were runny and three small pieces of beef and some type of gravy ( it was supposed to be a demi glaze). I did not choose that restaurant someone in my party did. There was supposed to be a dress code but no one followed it. There are so many steak houses in Las Vegas that would have been so much better. Word of advice do not make the trip it is not worth it save your money you are better off somewhere else.
Don't eat steak much but pretty darn good!. Not a big steak connoisseur but do enjoy it from time to time. I had the 12 oz. filet mignon since I like my cuts pretty lean. Nicely peppered for seasoning. The waiters make sure your meat is cooked to perfection. The sides were fine but honestly I could do without....it's all about the beef. Others in my party ordered the bone-in filet and bone-in ribeye....all thoroughly enjoyed it. I've also gone to Prime Steakhouse at the Bellagio, but I would say the dining experience and food is better here at Del Friscos.
Avoid this one in Vegas. We were so disappointed in Del Friscos in Las Vegas. We have been to Del Friscos in Manhattan and Texas and they were great. We made reservations and told them it was for a birthday. We were first put into a noisy side room and then moved to the main dining room but at the entrance of the kitchen which wasn't great becasue some of the servers bumped into your seat. It was mainly the food that was disappointing. We had someone at the table with a food allergy and the the waiter didn't know that their mashed potatoes had onions! The spinach was mediocre, the stone crab was not cracked adequately so it made it hard to eat and the most expensive bone in filet had to be sent back because we couldn't cut through it. The manager tried to make up for it with some deseert but then the bill was incorrect twice! Once with someone elses 6 drinks. We will not be returning to the one in Vegas anytime soon.
our favorite spot in vegas. We have been to del friscos about 10 times it was so good we havent tried many others but on our last vegas trip we tried del one night then ruths cris the next night although they were both great del friscos meat was quit a bit better i had the rib eye at both places just to compare and ruths just did not compare. Were going next week again and cant wait.
Average.
For a romantic place this is a miss...more like a sports bar with high prices.
The food was really good but the rest of the experience was ruined by loud convention goers in shorts and loud shirts. There is a dress code, guess no one can read.
Large Group--Hit or Miss. I've toyed between giving the Las Vegas location an Average or Recommended Rating. The wait staff was very prompt and attentive but as we sat down to the table--did not have time to enjoy the first drink before they wanted to take our order. "So we can get the menus off of the table" Felt very rushed through the meal. Waiter suggested a variety of appetizers for the table consisting of crab cakes, jumbo shrimp and calamari. All were good. The special of the night a 15'' bone in steak was not any bigger or tastier than the prime rib eye--this one you definitely pay for the bone!! The waiter suggested the lobster for the table (largest) and anyone who orders lobster knows they are older and tougher--assured it was not; tough as expected and definitely over cooked. We had a variety of items ordered at the table, turtle soup (very peppery) the filets were cooked as ordered large portions, the salmon looked nice, grouper special was nice, and the shrimp scampi looked good (piled high with tomatoes). Ala Carte side dishes are just that... potatoes au gratin, asparagus, broccoli, spinach supreme (oops they forgot to bring those out). When the meal is served--they bring out more wait staff to serve the ala carte items and the table will be swarming. I personally have no issues paying for a good meal, so if you do not mind being up sold for every item--the steaks are good and cooked to order---it was just rather disappointing since lived in Dallas and having been there numerous times--Viva Las Vegas just did not measure up!!!
Best restaurant I've ever been to. I live out of town, but every time I go to Vegas, I have to eat at Del Frisco's. The lobster and filet mignon both melt in your mouth like butter. Everything is sooo good and flavorful, I wished that I had a bigger stomach to eat more. (Well, not really, but you know what I mean). The service was great and quick, and I felt like an appreciated guest from our waiter. I'm a customer for life, and only wish I lived closer!
Wonderful experience. What a great meal we had at Del Frisco's. The service, from hostess to bus boys, was high class all the way. It's old fashioned--the kind of place a southerner would enjoy. So many juicy steaks to choose form and awesome desserts. This place is devoid of the typical Vegas garishness. It's lovely, you'll enjoy it.
Over Rate. I went to del friscos several years ago and didn't love it, and went a few weeks ago (for free with work) and was not too impressed at all. the shrimp cocktail was good, but my lamb was beyond dissapointing and I've had better lamb at the outback. I'd reccomend ruths chris across the street for sure over this over priced rip off operation.
I wish there was one in Portland!. Went to Del Frisco's for dinner while in Vegas with the girls. My filet was melt-in-your-mouth tender. I've never had a better steak. Aaron, our wonderful waiter, mailed us thank you notes. A nice touch. When I'm back in Vegas, I'll definitely return.
