In Short – Minus 5 became the first permanent ice lounge to open in the United States. Located in Mandalay Place, guests toss on parkas over their t-shirts and swap flip-flops for boots to enter the freezer, where the temperature is kept at minus 5 Celsius (23-degrees Fahrenheit). The entire lounge is made of ice-from the chandeliers to benches to the bar and the sculptures. Even the super strong cocktails are served in glasses made of ice. Sculptures are switched out every few weeks to change the mood and reflect the season.
Horrible experience
by laxguy44
The manager Jason tried charging my friend around 100$ in drinks she did not order or receive. When asked for verification by receipt or video, Jason couldn't muster either and asked the majority of our party to leave so he could harass my friend to the point of tears. The bar itself is smal and boring.
- Cons: rude management, small room, boring
