Carnevino is often mentioned as a Mario Batali / Joe Bastianich restaurant, and maybe it is, but meat genius Adam Perry Lang is the guiding spirit here. The meat is sourced from special animals, and masterfully butchered, aged, and cooked as perfectly as steak can be.

It's just as the restaurant's moniker implies, it's all about meat and wine at this plush trendy eatery with an entrance guarded by a life-sized bronze bull. The room is elegantly designed with 16-foot ceilings, dark woods framing the walls and Italian marble for accents. As for the menu, the man with the orange crocs has it packed with pasta such as pappardelle with porcini trifolati and black fettuccine with crab, shallots and jalapenos. Organic free-range veal, Colorado lamb and exceptional aged beef steaks round out the meat selections-all rubbed with a blend of sea salt, black pepper and fresh rosemary for an end product that creates a slightly charred crust.
