In Short – Though McFadden's (which has sister bars in NYC, Boston and Chicago, among other cities) makes the claim as the "Wildest Irish Pub on Earth," I've yet to step into an Irish pub that can't compete for the title. And I'm willing to bet a pint, a Dublin tavern or two would come to fisticuffs over the fact too. But, yes, McFadden's is as loud and rowdy joint as any, where girls dance on the bar between sips of brew. Try the Shepherd's Pie topped with air-whipped potatoes or the Irish stew on the standard pub-grub menu.
A complete rip off

We came here after "winning" a free night's drinking for 2 hours. The "free" part of it started after we had paid $20 per male and $10 per female to get in - but the "free" part of the drinks extended to weak domestic beer (served at 1 drink per person - so you couldn't get a drink for your partner) and "wild" liquor only - so the stuff that really rips the lining off your throat. Plus the music was awful and far too loud. This place advertises itself as an Irish bar - it's about as Irish as Vladimir Putin. And that's that's being generous. If you want an Irish (or even a nice pub atmosphere) then go elsewhere; recommend 9 Fine Irishmen in New York New York - give this place the widest berth!
- Pros: Near the Voodoo Lounge
- Cons: Overpriced entry, lack of originality, poor service.
Not what expected

I was really looking forward to going here for my birthday party. They were expecting us and had our table reserved, we went on a Friday night. We were expecting the dueling pianos which didn't happen because one of he piano players called in. Then myself and a couple friends ordered one of the fishbowls. It tasted good but was so weak. I am not sure there was even alcohol in it. I am not a drinker normally and only two of us ended up drinking it and we felt nothing! Our drinks were coming from the bar to the right of the entrance. All of the drinks were weak. Then when a couple of the girls went to the bar ot the left of the entrance up a few stairs, their drinks were awesome. The food was alright. The service was good. The place did start to pick up and become more fun after 11pm. So we then gave it a shot again a month later. Still there were not any dueling pianos yet supposedly there are supposed to be. The drinks were a little better. All in all, wasn't as impressed as I was hoping. They are new so maybe they will get better as time goes on.
