In Short – The 40/40 Club isn't your typical sports bar. Sure, there are autographed jerseys hanging on the walls and the menu is jammed with the usual: chicken wings, burgers and pizza, but food items also include grilled cheese and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. But this 24,000-square-foot luxurious club at The Palazzo is a multi-level sports heaven with bleacher-style seating on white leather couches, 85 plasma screen televisions and floors made of 24-karat gold. The club also has five lavish VIP rooms and an outdoor terrace.

Sports Bar...Remember That!

This is a Sports Bar! Not a Club! The title is so misleading. My girls and I were looking fly, ready to have a blast. We get in free, and honestly are the life of the party. There is barely room to dance but so much room to sit, socialize, and drink. Even the crowd is full of business execs, late 20s-early 30s, too boogy to dance, but cool enough to get wasted. Overall, the environment was too stiff, not enough eye candy, and a clear signal that we were to move on to the next venue.

There is a cover charge after 11 p.m. Sunday-Wednesday: $20 for men; $10 for women; local women are free. Thursday - Saturday: $30 for men; $20 for women.
Fun Fact:
The club is named after one of baseball's most prestigious achievements--having 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases in one season. The only players to do it: Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, Alfonso Soriano and Jose Canseco.
What to Drink:
The 40/40 Martini contains Stoli vanilla and Godiva White Chocolate Liquor topped with a liquid chocolate swirl.
