In Short
Cheer on your "table concierge" when she takes to the cat-walk for the nightly beauty pageant in her fucshia bikini and floral sarong. That's right, not only does the girl with the good looks serve your meal she entertains as you eat. The multi-tiered dining room, which contains a two-story waterfall, is a high-energy room and the menu offers a taste of the islands. Select items include the crackling Asian spiced pork shank with lap chung and shrimp fried rice, a roasted organic chicken or an artichoke crusted halibut. Save room for the chocolate soufflé cake with pistachio ice cream or a cheesecake lollipop.

Wow! I was walking on the las vegas blvd and the beautiful women of the new restaurant at the planet hollywood caught my eye. At first I thought of the place as a tasteless restaurant using beautiful women to entice customers to dine but I was wrong. The food was delicious. It was nothing like the food in Hawaii on my honeymoon but I later found out that they just bought the name from the sun tan lotion. I ordered the pork shank and it was enough to feed a family of 4. Humungous! Great food. The service was incredible and all the waitresses were women (gorgeous) and they had male busboys. The waitress was helpful but not as helpful as the busboy. I told the bus boy you must like your job and he replied that they only great thing about this place is the women. I thought wow....what an attitude! But he later explained that with all the great service they provided they were getting paid only 5.85 an hour. I said the girls must make up for it he smiled and said "NO". It's amazing how a place is ran by hard working employees yet they are mistreated and disrespected. I do recommend dining at this place only if your a generous tipper. It's the employees that made my experience great but also opened my eye to terrible labor practices in las vegas. Shame on Hawaiian Tropic Zone (owned by RIESE CORPORATION)
Pros: Great service, Great atmosphere, Great women
Cons: Unhappy employees

I was expecting a "H@@oters" but what I got was a top notch dining experience with some of the most beautiful wait staff around. We ordered the BBQ chicken spring rolls which were amazing, presentation was flawless. I followed that up by the Spinach Ravioli which was fantastic. The tomatoes in this dish were amazingly flavorful and the Ravioli were perfectly crafted. My collegue ordered a chicken breast dish and reported that all elements were fantastic. The atmosphere was not what I expected at all. Very urban chic. The interior design was befitting a much pricier hipster establishment. The service was great, and I'm trying to be objective despite the fact that the waitresses are all 10's in bikini's. Our waitress had an injured knee and still managed to get everything to us quickly and with a smile. Vegas is a town of lovely women, and some of the most lovely women I saw were waitresses at this establishment. The only downside to this place is the wait staff being 10's in bikini's. If you want to take a date here be careful, you may get smacked for letting your eyes wonder. I asked our waitress about this and she said that they do get a good amount of couples but it can be problematic as guys have literally had to tip her on the sly so their date didn't see due to jealousy issues. Yes, the girls are that nice looking which can be a bit of a distraction from the excellent food and atmosphere. I just wonder how successful their business model will be...it would be hard to convince my wife to go to a fancy dinner (which is what this place offers) at the "Hawaiian Tropic Zone." Overall, this place makes me re-think my bias against theme restaraunts and I'd highly recommend you go there when in LV!
Pros: Great food presented beautifully in a great venue by beautiful staff
Cons: Beautiful staff may not be appropriate for some dates/families
