A message from VOX Wine Lounge.
First I would like to thank everyone for their comments good and bad and indifferent. Fortunately the good outweigh the bad. We at WOXwinelounge are committed to learning from our neighbors, friends and customers. It takes a lot of courage and commitment to write a review. We thank all of you for taking the time regardless of the comments. Most people don't comment. At VOX we are believers in continuous improvements. We take the feedback seriously and we respond, as you can see in this email.
It is true we made a substantial offer to our nearby neighbors. It was our intention to get a lot of people in our neighborhood out of their homes and into our dining. We succeeded. This was done for three very key reasons:
1) Get the people around us talking.
2) Test the capacity of our venue and get people talking.
3) Collect valuable information with comment cards.
...Again we succeeded and we did so - on all levels. We do not have plans to send out such a bold offer again anytime soon. We are sure the offer-takers had a great time and they helped us in refining our product. We thank them for that and we thank you for your comments.
Let me finish by saying that we have been very successful in winning over loyal customers 1 by 1 and in small clusters. We are very happy with our progress and we are looking forward to the spring when we will launch our Sunday Brunch program. Also, Saturday School was started over three weeks ago and it has turned into a wonderful little program. People just love it! If you haven't attended this cooking class and wine tasting program on Saturdays please do so in the future. I am sure you will enjoy it very much.

Poor Experience. In response to a free promotion, which seemed to good to be true, turned out that way. Eight days ago, I made a 6:30 reservation for a Tuesday night (2/19/08) By 7:10 four people who had a 6:45 reservation walked out. I informed the host we were leaving and to cancel our reservation. We were the ones they need to cater to, as we would come back and need to rely on us for positive, word of mouth advertising. This is a caviar/wine/high-end restaurant wannabe, and to do a free-be type dinner was a huge mistake. The people who were there were not people who would come back again, as they were in sweat pants and fanny packs.....buffet types. My prediction is this place will be closed by the end of April.........too bad.
If you are looking for an exceptional dining experience this is it!!!! There are so few experiences in the Las Vegas area, like the one we had at the Vox
The atmosphere was great and the Food is Delicious! Not for the Buffet Eater,
We ordered the Chef Tasting which is a five course dinner,
I do not like oysters but I was open minded to try new things tonight since it was a Tasting so I did and I have to tell you it was fantastic ,next came the soup (clam chowder) it was tasty and had a hint of basil on the top the friend I was with did not eat it because it has bacon in it but we should have ask them to bring it out without the bacon as it was served with the garnishes on the bottom of the bowl and then the soup was poured over at the table, A crab cake was next it had a wonderful spicy sensation, I found out that the next course was to be a rib eye steak so we asked if we could have something in its place or just skip it all together so the waiter suggested the salmon, it was crusted and seared normally I like my fish well done even ahi tuna but there again it was a delight to my pallet , by this time I was looking forward to the dessert which happen to be one of my favorites Bananas Foster , I can say I was not disappointed on the chefs culinary design of this old favorite, I am defiantly looking forward to going back.
DO NOT MENTION YOUR COUPON.
My husband and I received a $30.00 off per person coupon so we decided to try the place out.
They ask as soon as we entered the door if we had a coupon, we did so they had us place it on the table of view. We were served very very small portions...the Coffee Crusted Ribeye consisted of only 4 small slices, the soup was 2 good tablespoons full. The food was very tasty but we left and my husband picked up a pizza on the way home. They make you feel like you are on an assembly line....you could see the staff in the back hall waiting with the next plate in their hand and as soon as your empty was picked up the next one was placed in front of you. Our entire meal from beginning to end was 45 minutes. We did not have time to relax at all and had to ask for a wine list. The biggest thing served was the the dessert and immediatley came the check.....no relaxing, they want you out of there. So...if you have a coupon, don't tell them until after your meal and then pretend you just found it. We will not go back to this place and I hope you have a better experience if you decide to try it out.
Unfortunate. After reading of VOX?s opening I got very excited, I am a wine enthusiast and frequent many bars/restaurants in Las Vegas. Online I read great reviews and also a promotion of half off there menu Monday nights. I went on a Monday with a friend after work, as we walked in it seemed very nice. There was maybe 3 to 4 customers all sitting at the bar. We noticed a lounge to the side with a fire place which excited us. The wait staff was obviously annoyed to we even entered, they had a visible discussion of who would have to serve us. We were then told the kitchen was closed, they did not have any promotions and if we wanted to sit in the lounge we would have to order at the bar and walk are drinks over. We were a bit distraught from the brazenness, but were adamant on enjoying a glass of wine. We ordered 2 very nice glasses and proceeded to the lounge. The sitting was very jacquard and uncomfortable; the music was very loud (some sort of techno). The experience was nothing short of unpleasant, I would not go back and would never recommend.
Best food in Vegas.
This was our first visit to Vox Wine Lounge and Restaurant. The bar was nicely appointed with contemporary music in the background. Service at the bar was spot on with polite conversation, poker machines and attentive service. If we only would have eaten there it would have been an incredible evening.
Reservations were honored at the time we requested and we were seated promptly. The assistant waiter came by immediately, told us the waiter was tied up, and left us wanting wine service until the waiter assisted us. Fifteen minutes later Dennis, the waiter, appeared and we ordered a Patz and Hall Chardonnay, $81, served too chilled to be enjoyed immediately. This was the last time we saw our waiter until well past our third of five courses. We assisted ourselves to pouring the wine after the first glass which didn?t bother us more than the fact that the staff never attempted this arduous task. Next was the food?
I do not have words to express how incredible the food looked and tasted. The San Francisco style clam chowder was exquisite with a subtle buttery, smoky taste of razor clams. The tempura crab cake with Kim chi, edamame and mirin-soy emulsion was a cornucopia of mind bending flavors. The coffee crusted rib-eye with gnocchi, wild mushrooms and Roquefort?something you must try to appreciate.
You will not find better food anywhere in Las Vegas no matter what the price. This chef knows flavors and knows presentation. The few creations we had were a highlight of an arduous week with us wanting to come back for more.
The Lounge is a nice place to relax, unwind and enjoy the company of friendly local patrons and staff.
The service is the only drawback which can be improved with a few minor tweeks. Get drinks to the patrons quickly, pour wines if the prices reflect such service and have waiters appear more than once or twice during a 5 course meal
Excellent food and service!. If you want to try some fine cuisine and enjoy spending some time savorying the experience, this is the place. They serve excellent food, tapa style. This is small portions, and so worth trying lots of different choices. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They have live music in the dining room most nights, we happened in on one of the nights that there was none, but I am sure it would have added to the already exquisite experience. My favorite was the crab cakes and the coffee encrusted rib eye. Drink were great also! Our compliments to the chefs!
Wonderful!. I recently had dinner here and loved it! We started with some cocktails is the very posh wine lounge and then moved to the dining room for dinner. We shared the tartare trio, ribeye, mac and cheese and truffled flatbread.. So delish! The service is so so and management seemed uninterested but I'll overlook that for the great food. I've never really found great service in Vegas anyway so I'm beginning to think that is is just how this city does it. I'll still be back!
Henderson wine lounge serves tapas-style cuisine and small plates around the clock in a friendly atmosphere..
VOX is your neighborhood Cheers. Everything here revolves around making the customer feel special. And they do it with a series of daily events. From winemaker dinners (Thursdays, 7-9pm) and celebrity bartenders (Fridays, 8-11pm)
to unannounced live shows and invite-only tastings. Outside of the main dining room with its fireplace and gaming machines, the restaurant has a patio with a water-and-fire feature for those seeking fresh air. The wine list is long and impressive and there are small plates for sharing.
