Avg Neighborhood Place, standard fare. I usually look at 3 basic things to give me an idea how good a sushi restaurant will be: the freshness of the fish, the quality of the rice, and the environment. Waiting for my dry cleaning, I ventured into Sushi Tachi, ordered a spicy tuna roll, albacore sashimi, and a rainbow roll. Simple to do, but very revealing of freshness. I found them avg on taste, avg on portion, avg on quality. Staff was friendly, room pleasant, if in neighborhood - I'd stop in again.

Don't eat here unless you like to starve. We came in for lunch and it wasn't busy at all yet it took 50 mins for their one and only chef to make our rolls. We wanted the "All you can eat". It's a 45 time limit for $21.95 at lunch (drink NOT included). After the first 25 mins and no sign of food we ask for our rolls to go (they hadn't even started making them yet!) She said 5-10 more mins. We waited another 25. We would have just left but by then we were starving! NO we did not get a discount either. We did get an apology but it won't bring me back there again. We still ended up paying about $20 per person but only got 2 rolls each. Seriously, if you take that long to make sushi you have no business putting a time limit on customers! 45 min time limit and 50 to make you food. Genius!

yumo. Wow! I lived in Japan for 3 years. I really miss eating sushi at the sushi go around once a week. I was really impressed with the quality and the service. Our waitress was so wonderful and she recommended rolls for us to try based on spicyness, and what we already ordered. 2 of us got all you can eat and 1 got a california roll for $5 that was huge. They also have yakitori and chicken curry for those that might not favor rawness. The selection was amazing. There are some really interesting creations. I can't wait to go back and try more. Great!!

Not that great. Although the establishment has a great atmosphere the service and sushi quality fall short. My wife and I have been to several Sushi establishments across town and have generally been satisfied by the food and service provided. At Sushi Tachi you have the option of a la carte or all you can eat sushi for one hour. I decided to get the all you can eat for 25.95. The all you can eat menu and the a la carte menu are the same yet the quality of sushi that is given is very different. For example, the Rainbow roll given to the table behind us was beautiful and very well put together (they were paying for each roll separately). Our Rainbow roll on the other hand looked like a blind 2 year old white kid put it together and forgot to put half the ingredients on the roll (we got all you can eat). I understand they are going to cut down on quality for the all you can eat people but at least make it somewhat comparable! If that was not bad enough, our waitress started to ignore us after about 20 minutes into service. We are sitting there while all this rice is expanding in our stomachs, trying to get another order in and our waitress suddenly has hearing loss and "cant hear" when I am trying to get her attention. It didn?t help that she also refused to make eye contact. Then when we finally do get her attention after practically throwing a handfull of wasabi in her face, she seems all put out that we wanted more. I'm sitting there thinking to myself "I have 40 minutes to go and you are already giving me a hard time about ordering more?!" I personally think our waitress was one of the owners and thought we had eaten our moneys worth within the first 20 minutes, therefore thinking she could just ignore us. Bottom line is do not get the all you can eat package unless you feel like an evening of lousy sushi and even lousier service.
