Worst company. Do not work with these thieves, They lied and at the end their manager Ron hangs up the phone on me.I called and left message for his boss and she never called me back. scam company stay away. I wish there was a way that we could all call BBB on them,
Total scam!!!!! I booked a room at
hooters due to the advertised price. When I arrived the clerk told me that it will me $10 more each day for use of pool and in room safe. I mentioned that I would not be needing these items. He told that it was not optional. The amount raised my room cost to over 50% of the booking price. To add insult they charged my card an additional 25 per day for a hold until I check out. I would never use this site again to book anything. Frustrated about the Bait and switch scam that they have running. Additionally they called me to push time share under the guise of verifying my reservations.
To recap- Scam, Bait and switch, time share push....pissed!
Very bad company. I booked a hotel thru this company I have a disability I use a walker or wheel chair and need to be close to elevator when they booked it with the hotel. The first room the door was not wide enough for a wheel chair or walker when the hotel moved me they moved me in room with a wider door but as far as u could get from the elevator. This company never told the hotel about my needs and then the company never returned my call or e-mail as of today My stay in Las Vegas was in Jan. 2012
Fraud company with worst CS by faaar..
Tripres by far (and i am not exaggerating) is the worst hotel booking site I have ever seen. The only good thing they offer is a bit cheaper rate (couple dollar a night). To whoever is reading this, go book your hotel at a website that honor customer service.
This is what happens to me, I booked a ticket for a hotel in Vegas. Because I never had booked a hotel through this website, I called the hotel to confirm the booking. The lady mentioned to me that there is a $25 resort fee charged per night for the stay. I was not told by Tripres that there is a resort fee!!!
I called Tripres to see if I can cancel the reservation (10 days ahead). As soon as I mentioned resort fee, the CSR supervisor started attacking me saying that I shouldn't complain about the resort fee because it was in the hotel details.......seriously, who on earth goes to read all pages of hotel details before booking it!!!!!!?
I told the guy that I would apreciate it if Tripres mentioned the fee in the final confirmation page (I read everything on the page before and after I booked my room and the fee is not mentioned anywhere). His response was attacking me personally saying "YOU ARE NOT A SMART CUSTOMER, I AM NOT GOING TO ARGUE WITH YOU, I WILL HAVE TO LEAVE THIS CALL, IF YOU WANT TO CANCEL IT IS $50 PER PERSON"!!! $100 total!
I was extremely nice when talking to him and he was extremely rude. I never had any worst customer service than this company.
BTW, all hotels don't charge a cancelation for 7 days notice, and 95% of websites have free cancelation and good good CS. Tripres is for sure one of the remaining 5%.
Save yourself an harrasment and book using different website like "Hotels" and "Expedia". I only gave this website one star because they wouldn't let me put none.
TripRes. com is a corrupt unethical Company.
I booked a hotel reservation on tripres. com and 2 days later I realized I couldn't use that reservation and needed to cancel. They told me they would charge $50 per person to cancel. Which meant a $100 cancellation for a $150 room reservation. This is ridiculous since my reservation is 2 months away!!! They stated it is because they get charged fees from the hotel for cancelling. I was in the hotel business and know for a fact that they do not charge fees for cancelling when it is 7 days or more away from the check in date. So for the supervisor to tell me that a $100 cancellation fee is required to cover cancellation costs is absolute corruption.
He stated that the terms and conditions state this, but when have you ever seen a booking site like Hotels. com, expedia, travelocity, etc. state "Outside of 7 days from the arrival date, a $50.00 cancellation fee per person will be applied on all itineraries".
Outside of 7 days???!??!?! Every website I have ever seen always says within 7 days. Plus couldn't I interpret "Outside" to mean "Except for reservations over 7 days, a $50 cancellation fee....."
This website needs to be shut down because this is completely wrong and unethical!!!
Never ask them. I had a problem with booking hotel in Las Vegas in September, 2011. The customer service made another booking without checking the present booking for the hotel. They sent me a confirmation for the room after 16 days I booked on line. I talked to the supervisor named Ron and he totally didn't help to solve the problem. Stay away from this company.
Tripres is a RIP OFF.
I made a reservation and canceled the reservation at the same day and they charged $204.00 from my credit card.
Don't do any business with them..........RIP OFF.......RIP OFF.....RIP OFF
LOVED IT!. I just got back from staying at the Luxor and loved it! I booked with Tripres back in August and got a killer deal on my room and Chris Angel tickets. He's so hot<3!! lol! The price was not beatable anywhere else and I will be sure to come back and book with them again!
Stay far away.
I'm not happy with this place at all. An extra charge appeared on my card, that didn't match my receipt. I called several times spent over 30 minutes with them twice. Even had my credit card call. They said they'd refund my money 2 days ago, and they still haven't.
Stay far away from tripres.
Avoid these guys like the plague. My opinion - the old bait and switchers. Avoid them at all costs. Can I give a no-star rating? They dont qualify for one star
