Editorial Review for Vintner Grill – by Ryan Slattery
The Scene
Heads of business gather in the lounge over strong martinis and dine at white-clothed covered tables in elegance at a restaurant that has the feel of being at a dinner party at a rich aunt's mansion. The architecture is simple and not overdone. Two floating projection televisions play classic black and white films in the dimly lit main dining room as crowds gather on the patio near the fire pit or among two large canopies in an illuminated setting with custom-made couches and drapery.
The Food
Chefs take American dishes and spice them up. Influences from Spain, France, and Italy can be discovered in the dishes. The menu arrives on a clipboard. Share the buttery crab ravolli, which comes with english peas, crimini mushrooms, baby tomatoes and pecorino, as a appetizer. The crispy sea bass was perfectly spiced and flaky-an absolute marvel. Meanwhile, the veal scaloppini was tender and drenched in a marsala and capellini aglio olio sauce. Vintner offers a wide range of wines (available in flights) and has more than 30 beers to choose from. Save room for the delightful Vosges chocolate truffles or the powered French Toast, which comes drizzled in white chocolate with fresh berries.

I went to Vintner Grill a few weeks ago when my cousin was in town. I wanted to impress her with more of a "locals" restaurant instead of going to the strip, which is such a hassle. I had the sweet butter lettuce salad with warm brie and a vinaigrette, which was SO yummy. And for my main entree I had pan seared scallops with sweet corn risotto...again..this was fabulous. Even though we were so full, we had to try their Tiramisu. I must say...this is the BEST I have ever had. Each bite was AMAZING...you have to try it. And even if you are not a local, this restaurant is definetely worth the 20-30 minute drive to Summerlin. The restaurant is classy, elegant yet hip...always a crowd inside and out. I will make sure to make it back again to Vintner...the owners have done a fantastic job here!!
Pros: Everything
Cons: none

Vintner Grill is an amazing new restaurant in Summerlin. The decor is very modern, chic and hip. The atmosphere and ambiance alone make it worth dining here. But their food is incredible and delicious, and the service is second to none. Vintner gets very busy on Friday and Saturday nights so reservations are a must. Nothing else to say - it's excellent and you must go.
Pros: Ambiance/Food/Social
Cons: Gets crowded
