When I first found CJ's I could not have been more happy!!!! Man was I totally let down!!! First off the place looks great inside and they sell real Big Red soda, a soda you can't get outside of Texas, but that’s where its stops!!! Everything else about this place S**KS!!! SHAME on ANYONE who says this place has good Texas BBQ!!! They are OVER PRICED! Here is where I should have just walked out!!! When I ordered I asked them that I wanted a specific cut of brisket at which point they ALL looked at me like I was a F**KING NUT!!! What PI**ED me off even more was when I asked, one of the girls who was stocking snapped her neck around and looked at me with the stupid look on her face that a dog gets when he is trying to figure out whats up? Just to let you know in Texas at a real Texas BBQ joint you can ask for specific types of cuts of meat and you Will get them, HERE YOU WON'T! So I ordered 3 meats all brisket, with one side of mac and cheese and an iced tea for a total of $13.00. The brisket tasted dirty which zero flavor, but was tender enough for my taste. The reason why it tasted dirty is because they smoke it with hickory wood. Real Texas brisket is made with mesquite wood, not hickory!!! The mac and cheese tasted like SH*T, I make Kraft mac and cheese better. The tea tasted dirty because they made the tea with unfiltered water!!! As for the way it is severed its comes on paper, this is what some Texas BBQ joints do, no big in that department. So over all on a scale of 1 to 10 this place ranks a 2. In Texas there is a BBQ joint called Bill Millers BBQ, they are all over Texas and are considered the fast food of Texas BBQ. In Texas it’s considered the worst BBQ you can eat in Texas, all Texans know this. However, Bill Millers dances circles around CJ's ANYDAY OF THE WEEK EVEN ON SUNDAYS!!!

My girlfriend and I went into CJ's after driving by a few times finding it to be an inviting looking place. Upon entering it was very evident of the lack of menu items and combo plates. The place had very basic menu items and hardly any side items. I wish I would have read the reviews before going because I was very disappointed. Being from the midwest, I have grown up eating bbq so it's hard to find anything worthwhile in Vegas. I had high hopes with this place but it was a total let down. I ordered a combo with beef and turkey and all i got was 3 small slices of each, a very tiny cup of mac & cheese, and a bag of chips with a 20 oz soda. It seemed as if I was at a cafeteria with the quality of food and poor setup. Definitely overpriced for the quality and quantity of food.

Pros: Nice TV's

Cons: Everything else.
