INCOMPETENT "VETERINARIAN". I took a stray kitten I had found at work to Dr. Stoecklin to have him checked out to make sure he had nothing that could be given to the 2 cats I already had at home. Dr. Stoecklin "examined" him for approx. 30 seconds (not kidding) and told me he had an upper respiratory infection, which I thought was odd because the kitten had never sneezed, wheezed and did not have runny eyes, and prescribed an antibiotic. I asked Dr. Stoecklin if that was why the kitten had uneven skin tone on his nose and lips - which he repied "yeah, probably". I had thought that the kitten had a skin condition that he could give me a shampoo for. I assumed I that since the doctor had seen him, I could take him out of my bedroom where he had been quarantined and let him meet my 2 cats. One week later my face is completely covered in large red welts that were shaped like circles which I thought initially was hives. But they didn't get better, if anything it was worse a couple days later. Then a co-worker got the same circles on her face - which told me what I had was contagious. I went to see a doctor and was told I had ringworm. I looked up on the internet what symptoms kittens showed who had ringworm. My kitten showed MANY VISIBLE SIGNS of ringworm at the time I took him to Dr. Stoecklin - whick makes me wonder if this quack actually has a license because now that I know the signs of ringworm in kittens, it should have been VERY OBVIOUS to someone who had medical training. Do you and your pet a favor and take them somewhere, no anywhere else!
