I had a very poor experience with Platinum Dental. I would not recommend this dentist to anybody.
I called on a Wednesday to make a Friday appointment. First, the receptionist sent me to the wrong office (they hve two). When I got there for my appointment the receptionist at the Maryland location phoned the correct office to let them know I was coming and would be late, only to hear that they didn't even have my appointment scheduled in their computers. So I reschedule the appointment for the following Monday.
Keep in mind, I am in pain from my mouth this entire time.
I arrive at my appointment on Monday, and the receptionist informs me that I could not pay with a personal check as the first person I talked to on the phone said I could. She even gave me explicit instructions for paying with a check, saying that I would need the drivers license number associated with the account to pay.
I have no idea how one single employee could give so much poor and/or incorrect information to one customer.
I had to call off the entire appointment. Even if I had another way to pay besides the personal check from my parents' health savings account, I would not trust these people with the health of my mouth.
Don't bother with this dentist, go somewhere that they have their act together enough to be able to successfully schedule an appointment.
