Editorial Review for Revolution Lounge at The Mirage – by Ryan Slattery
In Short
Even though this is a trippy, Beatles-inspired lounge--the eye candy includes thousands of glass squares hanging from the ceiling, twinkling in "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" fashion--guests won't hear non-stop Beatles playing from the rafters. DJ's here spin funky lounge remixes, house, new wave, rock and Brit pop in an ever-changing hue of color as patrons swill espresso martinis and play at interactive tables. Seating includes curvy loveseats and pink bean bags.

Insider Tips
Where to SitAt one of the interactive tables where you sketch words or drawings in the form of squirming jellyfish and fluttering butterflies then have your masterpiece projected on a center pillar for all to see.
What to DrinkTry a specialty drink such as the Strawberry Fields or toss back an English Breakfast, which contains orange marmalade.

I didn't go inside because the doorman tried to charge me $20 to get inside - AND I am local, AND I was staying at the Mirage IN the Penthouse AND I am a female. Still, tried to charge me a cover to get into what seemed to be kind of a lame spot from the outside looking in. I don't know what this lounge is doing on a "best no cover night spot" list.

After seeing the endless line at the Jet, we decided to go to the Evolution instead. It is very easy to find, as a huge neon sign with pink alphabets saying E-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N in the middle of Mirage. The doorman was really friendly. Go-go dancers will greet you while dancing within the 'O's part of the neon sign. You will find lots of seating where people can actually socialize (unlike other clubs where you will have to pay $200 for a bottle to sit down). Bartenders were nice and the music was really good. People were civilized, well dressed, young yet mature. Best of all, there was NO-line up. Oh, did i mention the gigantic sink where men and ladies will share in the restroom. Very nice if you want to meet real people and chill.
Pros: No Line-up, lots of seating with socialization opportunities, classy people
Cons: can't think of one
