Run FAR FAR away from this place. There's a reason why they've had a groupon out there for so long.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Everything is bad about this place, I would never recommend anyone to come to this place. They put wrong time for our appointment and really didn't do anything to make it up and they asked you to tip big amount of money and when they said 30 mins foot massage , IT WAS A JOKE !!!
Caribbean Day Spa. I have been going to the Caribbean Day Spa for over 12 yrs now, and I have to tell you that the people there are the nicest and the services are great. The owner Charity is so charming. I have always had a terrific experience at this Spa.
Big Joke save your money!.
My girlfriend bought us a couple’s massage and foot massage with champagne, for Valentine’s Day, which was supposed to be half off the normal price of $250.
When we went in we were told there was a mandatory 20% tip off of the $250 price. I told the girl behind the desk that was not on the coupon. She brought us each a small plastic glass of champagne. I notice there were still lip prints on my glass. Our two masseuses, look like Grandpa and a female Austin Powers. When the lady spoke, I had to stop her and ask her if she was sick. She said no, I ask her why she sounded so funny, she said that was her normal voice.
I had to use the restroom, when I lifted the broken toilet seat, and it nearly fell off on the floor, “nice place” I thought to myself. After I was done and wash my hands, there were no paper towels, the floor was very sticky.
We had to fill out a form stating if we had any sore area, I told them that I had a recent surgery on my left foot, I heard the other masseuse ask my GF to lift her legs he was going to put the customary ankle pillow under her ankles, but I didn’t get this treatment and I had to rest my leg on my sore left foot.
The neck and arms and back was OK with heated rocks, but what got me was the lady had to sit down on a rolling chair and the wheels rolling across the floor was distracting from what should be a nice experience. I notice her hands were cold but soon she was massaging me thru the sheets that I was under.
I had a few massages before, it seem to be the norm to remove the sheet off of ½ of the buttocks at a time and give a massage but this was a first getting a massage thru the sheets.
My lady left the room , and left me laying there, after about 5 minutes I set up and watch my GF getting her massage for a few minutes. I told them that it look like she was getting the best end of the deal, her guy ask where my masseuse went, “I don’t know” . He said he would find her and have her bring me another glass; I looked around and saw that she got sick on the floor and it was laying there. I ask him if someone could clean up the puke off the floor and don’t bother with a glass, bring the bottle.
I told them she was sick, and the thought of her sick hands rubbing my body was a turn off. He found my masseuse and had her come back in and clean the puke off the floor, she came back in and apologizes and made a half way attempt to clean her mess off of the floor, then leave the room. I had to stop her and tell her she left about half of it still on the floor. The guy finished my GF and rubbed her feet for about 10 minutes of the ½ hour foot massage then told us to get dress and come outside.
After we got dress and walked into the hallway he had the owner on his cell phone and was telling her what happen. My GF told me she was going to the restroom. Grandpa handed me his phone and told me the owner wanted to talk to me. After I explained what I thought about my massage, She told me, ”What do you expect, this is not a hotel spa” then she hung up on me. I handed the cell phone back to her guy and told him she hung up on me, “No she didn’t, my cell phone drop the call” he said and called her back on the landline then handed me the phone. I guess she saw the caller ID and answer the phone with, “can you believe that customer talking to me that way”, I inform her that I was still that customer and her guy thought it was a drop call, but I told him that you hung up on me.
Disappointed & not satisfied!. I went to this place through a groupon for a TCA peel ($150 value). They asked me if I ever got this kind of treatment before. I told them I haven't and that I only had a facial & a microdermabrasion before. They called me in the treatment room after waited for 20 minutes and the whole treatment is only 15 minutes. Basically, she just put on my face with some lotion, wiped it with warm towel, wiped my face with a cotton ball that has an alcohol on it. Then she put on some other lotion that supposed to be the chemical peel that give it a burn (tingling) sensation which it did a little bit, then she wiped it right away with the warm towel (no waiting period to make it work like when you have a facial mask). During the whole treatment, she just kept offering me to buy their products or to get more their services. When finished, I still see some lines in my forehead and tiny acnes still there. I didn't feel or see anything different on my skin. Isn't this peel is an aggressive peel to smooth the appearance of deeper lines in the skin? Well, it surprised me that the $150 value of treatment just took only 15 minutes to do it and there is no peeling or massaging going on there.. Really disappointed and never..ever.. going back there again.
I found this place through a groupon type deal for a stone massage. I went on my birthday. My appointment was rescheduled twice by them- the evening before my appointment I received a text message asking if my massage could be pushed back for an hour later. Then when I was on my way to the salon I received a call stating the appointment was pushed back again about 30 minutes.
The stone massage wasn't pleasant at all. The therapist was dropping stones, clinging them together, and sounded like raking through them which was noisy and not a relaxing atmosphere. There was a part with warm towels placed on the feet which was very nice. Then I hear the towel being thrown over my head- one landed in the sink and the other plopped to the floor along the side of me.
The cd player wasn't on a continous play so the therapist stopped in the middle of the massage about 3 times to restart the cd.
When it was time to get dressed that was when I noticed how dirty the floor was and their equipment was.
When it was time to pay the girl at the front desk was not sure how to ring up the massage. She asked me how she should ring me up. She was waiting for the manicurist to help. I was now running late for a hair appointment.
The manicurist was sitting on the floor giving a pedicure. I wasn't sure if this was a friend or a client of the manicurists because it didn't see professional in anyway.
I was trying to make the best of it. It was my birthday and it had been an extremely long time since I had a massage. I am just happy that I did not pay full price otherwise I would have been very upset. I would never go back there again.
Overall A Very Enjoyable Experience.
I was looking for a affordable tanning salon and found this spa. The price is reasonable and the beds are effective.
I enjoy the staff and receptionist very much.
After tanning for a few weeks I decided to try a few of their other services :Mani, Pedi , and a body wrap all were very enjoyable and I would recommend to anyone :)
DO NOT GO HERE!!!. I came in to inquire about thier services and the young women behind the counter had not a clue. I don't think she could tell you what state she was living in little lone anything about the spa. I'm not sure what the owners were thinking hiring that peice of work- but shes gotta go! The prices seemed decent and the inside looked nice. Could have had my busniess if it wasn't for the COMPLETE lack of people skills from the front associate!
Caribbean Day Spa 15% Upcharges when use Spa Finder Coupons. Dissatisfied with the Day spa. They charged 15% more for services because Spa Finder coupons were used to pay for services. These are pre-paid coupons used to get people to try their Salon. They would not have had the opportunity to serve some clientele if they did not accept the coupons. They should be accepted at face value or else refuse to accept them at all.
Wonderful and I will be back. I went to this spa after getting a Spa Finder gift certificate from my mom out of state. I looked online at their website and was surprised at how reasonable their prices were. I booked a massage and when I called, the lady that answered the phone was so cute! After talking lengthy with her on the phone and she was able to tell me what the difference was in all of the massages since I wasn't that familiar, she booked me a swedish masasge with Carrie. I also had to go there to meet the sweet lady that I talked to on the phone that later I found out was named Connie. She really won me over after talking to her on the phone! Well I was happily greeted by Connie and she told me what a great massage therapist I was getting. I was picked up and greeted so nicely by my massage therapist and taken back to her room which was really cute with candles going and really nice soothing music. The massage was so relaxing and great and she had some sort of lavender massage lotion that smelled so great!! She also put warm towels on my feet which was a nice touch. It was one of the best massages I have ever gotten and I have had alot! She asked me if I wanted more pressure or less and it was just what I needed. Thank you Connie and Carrie for a great spa experience. I will definitely be back and maybe next time I will try the other services there! I was also told what a great hair stylist they have too, so that will be my next trip there and of course another massage! You have to check out this spa, even though it is small, Connie alone is a character to talk to!
