did not live up too the hype!!. being a lover of prime dry age beef and always looking for a new place to try we went to michael mina's strip steak, i was looking forward to a oustanding prime rib , with there special way they poach in there own juice method of cooking it sounds a lot better in theory then reality! my prime rib was not well marbled and was not even tender!! it had a kind of rubbery texture(like a piece of boiled meat) on no rich flavor at all, the sides where average at best and of course the price was very high, i have no problem paying for quality but i really think this i just another new trendy place for young people who have no clue what prime beef is (it means lots of fat through out the meat!), service was good but the flavor and texture was just not there.

Staying at the Mandalay and elected to give SS a try. The lady and I are accustomed to fine dining and commensurate pricing but we were both a bit taken aback here. The Angus 10 oz fillet clocks in at $54, and that's at the low end of the beef options. It was a nice cut of beef, but frankly I prefer the petite fillet at BOA which is fifteen or twenty bucks cheaper. There are some $200 Kobe cuts so perhaps that's where real draw resides. I must say the side dishes were fairly spectacular as was the dessert (mini donuts). Service was above average and we were even comped the gourmet French fry appetizer with unique dipping sauces.
With the Angus fillets, three or four sides, dessert and a glass of wine each, the meal was around $375 with tip. If I had a do over, I'd opt for BOA and save $50 - $100 and enjoy a bottle of wine with my meal.
If you are a serious steak enthusiast , all about the beef with no accouterments and price is no object, Stripsteak may be for you.
Best View!. If you are looking for an amazing view with a relaxing atmosphere, this is the place to be! I went to the Palms Ghostbar since I thought they would have a great view, but really nothing compared to this place. And don't forget to use the bathroom, the best view in the whole place! =) Really had a blast here, thanks Mix!
Good but not great. Overall I enjoyed my experience at StripSteak. However for the price you pay I feel that the service and steak shoud be much better. I had the bone in ribeye, which was $51. Thats pretty expensive by steakhouse standards. Believe it or not that was one of the cheapest steaks on the menu. They had Kobe beef that ranged up to $200 per steak. Well anyway the steak was advesrtised as an 18oz steak. I sure didn't see it. Though the steak was on the larger side it was no 18oz. Also Ribeyes are usually the most flavorful steaks on steakhouse menus. Mine was tasty but not anything to write home about. Our server was efficient but lacked any warmth at all and really offered no assistance when we asked for recomendations. I must say that the side of truffle mac & cheese was to die for. Best side I have ever had. I would say try Stripsteak for yourself. Maybe I went on an off night. I will tell you that I did go to Mortons in LV and it was less expensive, better steak (I can't speak for the Kobe beef), and much friendlier service.
Unbelievable View. You should check this out if only for the view. It was amazing. I was there with a few friends and we had a nice time before we headed out to the casino.
my new favorite place to eat in all of Vegas!. I can't say enough of about incredible my meal was here... Best ribeye steak of my life, and I consider myself to be a steak snob. Michael Mina is some kind of culinary god... Expensive, but very VERY worth it!
One of the best in Vegas.. This restaurant is fantastic! The food is incredible. We ordered the tasting menu and wine pairing and every last bite was wonderful. If you aren't a steak lover try the organic chicken and don't miss the crab cakes with tobasco sauce. The wine was some of the best we had our entire week in Las Vegas and our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable and enhanced the very enjoyable experience. The ambience was great as well, the music and set-up added to the meal. If you are willing to spend the money the tasting menu is the way to go. If there is one restaurant you shouldn't miss it is Stripsteak

I really don't care about the help when I'm after beef; incidentally they are very good, it's the steak I?m after. These folks really do know how to work a cow. Our table had bone-in rib, rib cap, porterhouse and tenderloin. All that and a grand seafood platter, Caesar salad, roasted beet salad, scallion potato cakes, creamed spinach and rapine. Everything was just fantastic.
And these folks have only been open for five weeks.
Destin to be one of the GREAT ONES. I know I will be back.

Even the Bathroom stalls have great views!!!. The decor of THEMix is definitely impressive - but what blew me away was the size and the view afforded in the Ladies bathroom... It's quite odd to visit the loo while overlooking the city with a floor to ceiling view...
