STRIPSTEAK
Owner
STRIPSTEAK is Chef Michael Mina's first steakhouse. STRIPSTEAK offers three kinds of beef, Certified Angus Beef, American Kobe and 'A5' Japanese Kobe, and is home to two wood-burning grills and six circulating, slow-poaching chambers. Some menu specialties include Slow-Poached Prime Ribs that are cooked in their own juices for eight hours, American Kobe Beef Short Ribs with Horseradish-Celeriac Puree and Red Wine Jus, and Salt-Grilled Maine Lobster with Risotto and Sweet Corn Sauce. The restaurant can accommodate 160 guests and the private, glass-enclosed dining room seats 36. For a real Las Vegas steakhouse experience - there's nothing quite like STRIPSTEAK.

Theatre-goers and Kobe beef-craving crowd come for StripSteak's one-of-a-kind experience. Mina uses all natural Certified Angus Beef and American Kobe and after "slow poaching" the meat in simmering chambers to enhance the flavor, cooks it over wood-burning grills. The Colorodo Lamb is slow poached in extra-virgin olive oil and rosemary jus for up to 12 hours before it's finished on the grill. House specialties include prime ribs, slow poached for eight hours, and the salt-grilled Maine Lobster.

Very pleased with our meal at Stripsteak. Mom, dad, and I went here for our last night meal and were glad we did. The waitress was very bubbly and cheerful with a good attitude and eager to please personality. The comp duck fat fries were a nice start, as well as the foccacia. I was in the mood for pork chops, so I asked for those. Tender, thick and juicy cuts. Also they gladly replaced the sides (greens and grits) with mac and cheese and scallion potatoe cakes with creme fraische. Yum!!! Mom and dad enjoyed their Prix Fixe menu Prime Rib with a few sides too. They got beignets for dessert too. They gave us caramel corn for the road, nice touch. We were very pleased and will return again!

I come to Las Vegas every year for the sole purpose of fine dining so I consider myself an expert on cuisine. I have eaten at almost every good restaurant on the strip and I can say easily that I would pass on Strip Steak. I had a beet salad which was excellent but the steak (8 oz of Kobe beef) was very oridinary. I really didn't taste the flavor because all I tasted was truffle. The mac and cheese was very strong, the trio of potatoes was just ok and the duck fat fries were so so. We did not have bad meal but not a stellar one either. Delmonio's is sill my top pick for a steakhouse in Vegas and I stand by that.

The food at this place was great pricey but worth it. The waiter was great and my glass was never empty. I would tell anyone staying at the mandaly bay resort to try this place on for size. The portions where great and the music was nice. Wine selection was decent i would go again
