South Rainbow Stylist (Grethel) - Not Great.. I bought the male grooming experience thinking that it would be a good opportunity to try a new salon since moving to Vegas. When I arrived, I was shown around and offered a drink which was nice.

I was introduced to my Stylist (Grethel) whom was very nice. However she didn't seem to listen to what I wanted her to do with my hair. I asked for some edgy layers around the top and sides so that it would grow out nicely and described that I wanted to keep my bangs quite heavy so that I could style it to one side.

She suggested that I wanted my hair to be more 'modern'.

By the end, she had cut my bangs much shorter than I had asked her to and the layers were nothing special.

I have quite fine hair, which I normally style with American Crew Defining Paste to give it a matte finish (I told her this) but she used a styling gel which she should know doesn't work for my hair type...she dried the gel in to my hair (I thought this might be a new way I could style my hair) and then swept it back in some sort of 'fashion' and asked me if I liked it swept back...I told her no and she brought it forward in to some sort of 90s boy band center parting. MODERN? I think not!!

The paraffin hand dip was a nice addition to the visit...but as the main reason I went there was to get my hair styled, I'm not overly pleased with the fact that my 'stylist' didn't listen to what I actually wanted from her.

All in all, it COULD have been a good experience but since my stylist thought that 'modern' was something from the mid 1990's, it made the experience rather unpleasant because now I have a hair style that I am dissatisfied with.

Awesome. They had me in and out in no time! fast and affordable and very good at cuts, I was lined up nicely and iv never looked better! very good place i do recommend.

Good service, a bit unprofessional. For $38 you get a haircut, shampoo before and after, a facial and scalp massage and so its a great deal. The one bad thing is during the massage part, the stylists were talking back and forth loudly and flippantly about random drama of their own with other girls. Distracting and got a bit annoying.

I will go back, I just hope its not the same drama again

Great experience. Went for a haircut and this was a nice place. Relaxed environment, clean facilities good touches. Such as, free drinks, little bit of a massage, etc. Check out their website for more. For $38, well worth the money. Not a rushed environment. Only downside for me, it is on the oppisite end of town, but worth the drive on a weekend.

Well worth the price!. I have to admit that even with all the good reviews on here I was skeptical as it seemed a bit pricey. After all was said and done, I must admit that it is worth every penny. The Staff was incredibly friendly, and the service second to none. I have had many bad experiences with past hair stylists not listening to me and doing whatever they wanted... NOT HERE. I felt so good and was so pleased with the service I immediately set up my next appointment. To all you "manly men" don't be afraid of being a little soft and pampered, you'll feel great after. Don't forget to get your coupon here and check out the packages they have to offer on their site.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!!

service. AWESOME.!!!!was recommended to american male by a friend. I must be honest i never ventured outiside the great clips and other fast hair cutting salons; however, will never go back to them after my very first visit to A.Male. From the very moment i stepped inside the salon, the receptionist makes u feel like they appreciate ur business and makes u feel welcome. I would recommend the hair package, as it comes with a mini facial and something with hot wax thats supposed to help...well..its just pure relaxing...and did i mention plasma's and free drinks? Would highly recommend it to anyone...

Every guy needs to do this at least once!. This place is wonderful! From the moment you step in, you are treated so well. The staff makes you feel welcome and the service is second to none. They offer you a complementary drink, have massage chairs while you're waiting, plasma tv to watch, and even internet stations to use! The most basic service includes hand paraffin wax and a mini facial... (I have to admit the facial with the scalp massage is about the best part. It is so realxing and feels so good!) Guy's... you need to try it once... warning... you will get hooked!

A Unique and Great Experience For Guys. This place is great. A totally unique experience for guys. The staff is friendly and fun and they really know thier stuff. I never thought that I would be into getting my hands and feet done along with my hair, but now that I have done it, I can't live without it. I also recently got a facial. It was great, and I felt so good after. A little papmering is a good thing. Highly recommended!

Great Place. This place is great. The best place to get your hair cut. They give scalp massages and face rubs, which is all included with the haircut. Amy is the best, and everyone is very nice. I generally show up early to sit in the massage chairs and have a drink, usually water or a beer. They always call the day before so you don't forget. I have told a bunch of my friends its the best place to go. It is quite a ways from my house, but i will always go here no matter which part of Vegas i live in.

wonderful service from beginning to end. its like the best place to go, from the time you arrive to the time you leave they cater to every need to make sure your experience with them is perfect. I will wait to have my hair cut if i cannot get in when i want to because of scheduling, but they always try to make your time fit if there is anyway possible. I have had a few of the girls there do my hair and they are always professional to make sure it is exactly what i want, i love the parafin wax treatment and the facial massage you get when they are washing and conditioning your hair, it is truely an experience everyone guy should try, i only recommend American Male to all my business associates and clients, so when its time for your next haircut manicure facial or waxing give them a try i know you will keep going back
