If the games on, Home Plate is showing it on one of its 22 big screen televisions. This 24-bar, which has video poker machines and pool tables, is a favorite for sports fans in the southwest part of the valley. The pub serves a variety of food, all at reasonable prices, from quesadillas and steamers to salads, burgers, pizza and sandwiches.

Bigoted spanish speaking bartender and barback who work on Friday night. I used to go to this place when it first opened. The food and service were always good and I used to be a regular. Since moving out of state. I haven't been back in a while, but seeing as I was back in Vegas, I decided to check out my regular haunt again. I went on a Friday night last month and I was shocked at the changes that have happened at this bar. Before I talk about the bad, I have to say that the female bartender that was working that Friday night was great, she did the bulk of the work, whilst her male counterpart spent more time on our side of the bar, than he did doing his job. The burger I ordered was fine and I have to say I like the glass screen that allows smokers to stay inside

(unlike Cali). The MAJOR PROBLEM! with this male bartender was that him and his angry spanish speaking bar back. It seems that both of them feel the need to make derogatory, and outright offensive comments about the non-latino patrons in the bar. Of course they said these disgusting comments in Spanish, because they are cowards and they think that most non-latinos don't understand Spanish. My Spanish wife and I were shocked and disgusted to hear the bartender (whilst talking to the bar back) refer to one customer as a Marricon (derogatory word about gay men) when he walked up to the bar. They even conversed with a Spanish speaking customer about this guy. This customer ignored their bigoted comments and looked embarrassed by what he had heard. I know bars can be a place for coarse language, but my wife and I were disgusted to hear this type of language from a member of staff. I'm sure the owner doesn't know that this is going on, but if he or she is reading this review, I suggest you nip this in the bud now, otherwise you may find yourself at the wrong end of a million dollar law suit. By doing nothing about this, you are condoning discrimination and it will cost you in the end. Remember Spanish isn't some secret encrypted code. More people understand it than you realize!

Best Football bar and pizza in Vegas!. Home Plate Grill and Bar is the best bar to hang with the friends while watching the game every Monday night. The food their is the best, they make their own pizza dough and sauce and they 've got killer happy hour specials too!
